
Double Down Prelude precedes 41st annual MCA Super Nationals
BOONE, Iowa (Aug. 23, 2023) – The second biggest event in all of dirt track racing just got twice as good. The ninth annual Wild Rose Casino Prelude Sept. 2 and 3 at Boone Speedway has rebranded to become the inaugural Double Down Prelude, with double features for any division with more than 100 cars competing. “We expect to surpass last year’s Prelude record number of 632 cars but still want to make Saturday and Sunday programs more efficient,” noted IMCA President Brett Root. “Qualifying will be similar to the format we use for the Modifieds and Stock Cars during Super Nationals, with more cars qualifying from heats to features or ‘B’ races.” Both Friesen Performance IMCA Modified features will pay $1,500 to win and both IMCA Sunoco Stock Car features $1,000 to win on Saturday; Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMod features Sunday pay $750 to win.
