BOONE, Iowa (Aug. 22, 2023) – Hobby Stock, Northern SportMod and STARS Mod Lite drivers leading their respective state point standings and bound for Boone and the 41st annual IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s will be eligible to qualify for race of champions events.
Twelve cars will start each of those races.
State point leaders as of Aug. 31 join 2023 track/series champions and points leaders, as well as former national and Super Nationals champions, former RoC winners and former Hobby Stock regional champions in qualifying for the races of champions.
Mod Lite qualifying and the RoC will be held Sept. 3 during the Sunday Prelude program at Boone Speedway. Qualifying for both Hobby Stocks and Northern SportMods is on Labor Day with their RoC’s on the Tuesday, Sept. 5 card.
“The number of Super Nationals entries and the growth of these divisions weekly more than justify making more drivers eligible to qualify for their race of champions,” noted IMCA President Brett Root. “Defending Modified and Stock Car state champions will continue to be eligible for their respective All-Star Invitationals.”
