IMCA Modified Madness Friday at US 36 Raceway

OSBORN, Mo. – US 36 Raceway roars into the Memorial Weekend with the second annual Miller Lite IMCA Modified Madness. The Friday, May 25 feature at Osborn pays $1,000 to win, a minimum of $130 to start and is a Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot qualifying event. Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods race for $500 to win and IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars for $400 to win. IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, regional, Missouri State and track points will be awarded. There is no entry fee and pit passes are $30. Grandstand admission is $15 for adults, $12 for seniors and military with ID, $6 for kids ages 7-12 and free for six and under. Block is best in IMCA Modified main at Shawano

By Scott Owen SHAWANO, Wis. (May 19) – Rookie Wyatt Block won his first career IMCA Modified feature Saturday at Shawano Speedway. Trevor Spaulding pulled to the early lead with Eddie Muenster in tow. As those two paced the field, Block began to work through the field after starting the race in 10th. By the time Block passed Muenster for second near the midpoint of the race, Spaulding had built up a sizeable advantage. Block continued to reel in Spaulding, though, before a caution after lap 13 bunched the field back up. Block took advantage and grabbed the lead with an inside pass for the lead on lap 15, then never looked back in scoring his first IMCA Modified win. Spaulding finished second. Lance Arneson was the hard charger as he moved from 17th starting to finish third. Jeremy Christians notched another IMCA Sunoco Stock Car win, his first of the 2018 season, while Lucas Lamberies remained unbeaten in the Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods as he won his third feature in a row.

URSS doubleheader on tap for Memorial Weekend

DODGE CITY, Kan. – The Myers Engines United Rebel Sprint Series will open the season this Memorial Weekend with a doubleheader as the Rebels visit the beautiful Dodge City Raceway Park on Saturday, May 26 and then head to C. Ray Hall’s 81 Speedway in Wichita on Sunday, May 27. With weather canceling the first two scheduled races of the season, the weather forecast this weekend appears to be a perfect setting with highs in the 90’s and little to no chance of rain. I-37 checkers fly for Carroll

By J.M. Hallas PLEASANTON, Texas (May 19) – After some early season bad luck, Chris Carroll parked his IMCA Modified in the winner’s circle Saturday at I-37 Speedway. Thanks to his wife, son and a couple grand in repairs, Carroll got by point leader Rick Green for the lead. Talon Minten was able to show him the nose after a late restart but Carroll was able to hold him off. “It’s my wife and son supporting me, first off,” commented Carroll. “Colin put the car together and he made it come off the turns. It rotated through the middle real good. Rick (Green) slipped up a little bit and let me go.” “My son put the car back together after the crash earlier this year. JEFFERSON, S.D. – The $1,500 to win Artworks Graphics IMCA Modified Clash co-headlines holiday weekend racing at Park Jefferson Speedway. ARLINGTON, Minn. (May 19) – After taking the lead on the 13th circuit, Trevor Serbus stayed in front to the finish in winning Saturday’s 95.7 The Rock IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Car feature at Arlington Raceway. Neal Stevens paced the eventful first 12 laps before Serbus used the high side of the track to take the front spot. Brandon Allen made a late charge to edge Stevens in the race for second. Kay keen on collecting record fifth straight Deery win on Memorial Day at Boone

BOONE, Iowa – Justin Kay runs for a Deery Brothers Summer Series record fifth straight feature win when the IMCA Late Model tour makes its traditional Memorial Day visit to Boone Speedway. SANBORN, Iowa – Sybesma Graphics is back on board this season with a broad IMCA sponsorship role that rewards state champions across the Midwest.
