Frederick is red hot at Outagamie Speedway

SEYMOUR, Wis. (Aug. 4, 2023) – Kyle Frederick was on fire during Saturday’s IMCA Sunoco Stock Car feature at Outagamie Speedway, both literally and figuratively.

Frederick raced around Larry Karcz on the fifth circuit and into the lead. As the race progressed, Frederick’s advantage began to shrink as Karcz and Brandon Czarapata chased. It became apparent why Frederick’s lead began to fade as his left rear brake rotor began to glow bright orange.

Signifying a stuck brake. Frederick’s machine held on just long enough to take the checkers. Once he pulled in the tech area, the left rear burst into flames. Track officials quicky put out the fire.

Czarapata was able to sneak by on the last lap to take second, Karcz had his best run of the year to place third and after starting 21st, Rod Snellenberger completed the top four.  

Rookie Jeff Schmuhl grabbed the lead on lap three of the Friesen Performance IMCA Modified main and never looked back, cruising to his first win of the season.

Jason Ebert chased down the leader but never found a line to challenge for the for the top spot and had to settle for second. Konnor Wilinski took third and Mike Mullen made a late-race charge to place fourth. 

Zachary Raab went wire-to-wire in the Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMods.

Raab took full advantage of his front row starting position and pulled to a half a track lead. Not even a caution with three to go could stop him as he still won by half a straightaway. Derek Fehling placed second, Max Oreskovich took third and Skyler Woods was fourth.

Outagamie win goes to Long

SEYMOUR, Wis. (May 27) – Josh Long was the Sunday IMCA Modified feature winner at Out­agamie Speedway. Joey Taycher paced the opening laps with Long, Marcus Yarie and Mike Mullen giving chase. Long muscled his way down low past Taycher on lap eight for the top spot. Yarie closed in on Long, making the pass for the lead on lap 14. The caution flew simultaneously for debris and scoring went back to the last completed lap. Up against curfew the race was check­ered with Long receiving the win. Yarie had to settle for a frustrating second, Mullen was third, Lance Arneson placed fourth and Taycher completed the top five. Jeremy Christians raced from row two to the early lead of the IMCA Sunoco Stock Car feature. Travis Van Straten followed suit into the runner-up position and worked high and low on Chris­tians. Schmidt scores big payday at Outagamie

(Aug. 26, 2022) – Seven hundred dollars awaited the winner in Friday’s Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMod feature at Outagamie Speedway and it was Jordan Jahnke jumping to the lead early on until Ryan Schmidt raced from row eight and to the lead on lap three. Schmidt never looked back, scoring the payday with his third win of the season. Cory Kemkes stayed in the title fight with second place finish, Janke took third, Matthew Radtke took fourth and Chris Kuchta rounded out the top five. It was heartbreak in the Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds as Jordan Bartz looked well on her way to victory lane until her racer began to run rough on lap 15. Bartz slowed and rolled to the infield, ending a bid for her first win of the season. Hunter Parson inherited the top spot and held off hard-charging JJ Andersen to score his first win of the year. LaCrosse leads the way at Outagamie

(Aug. 23) – Benji LaCrosse only led one lap of the IMCA Modified feature Friday at Outagamie Speedway but it was the one that paid as he stole victory from Andy Kleczka.  Kleczka used his front row starting spot to build a huge lead early in the feature. That was erased when the caution flew just past the midway point. The first to challenge for the top spot was last week’s winner Wyatt Block Jr. as he worked down low and Kleczka ran the cushion.  Once again, Kleczka built a gap as LaCrosse took the runner-up position with three laps remain­ing. LaCrosse closed in but remained two car lengths behind. On the final cor­ners LaCrosse came in high and dove down the track to the inside of the leader as they came to the checkers.  When the dust settled it was LaCrosse winning by the width of his bumper in a thriller.
