BOONE, Iowa – Sixteen hours is all it took to fill the 64-team field for the Scorezit Cornhole Tournament on Sunday before the IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s. Electronic registration began at approximately 3 p.m. Wednesday and the final two-person team completed the entry process just after 7 a.m. Thursday. The 65th team became the first alternate. 2nd annual Scorezit Cornhole Tournament open for registration

BOONE, Iowa – The success of the inaugural event has resulted in an even bigger field for the second annual cornhole tournament preceding the IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s. Sixty-four two-person teams will compete in the Sunday, Sept. 6 double elimination tourney. Scorezit, a division of Wehrs Machine and Racing Products, returns as title sponsor of the tournament. Registration can be done using the Super Nationals pulldown on the imca.com website and entries will be limited to the first 64 teams. The entry fee of $30 per team will be paid at sign-in. Payout for the top six teams are $728 for first, $546 for second, $364 for third, $182 for fourth, $60 for fifth and $40 for sixth. Each of the top four teams receives a Scorezit scorekeeper as well. Midstate Machine to replace engine claimed from Super Nationals Stock Car champion

BOONE, Iowa – Midstate Machine will add an engine to the prestige and the $5,000 that go with winning the Stock Car main event at the IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s. IMCA and event sponsors will contribute parts. Midstate Machine, of Des Moines, will donate the labor to send the Saturday night champion home from Boone Speedway with a new powerplant. “We have a ton of Stock Car customers who race at Super Nationals,” said Midstate’s John Davis. “We wanted to donate our time and parts so the Super Nationals Stock Car winner gets an engine.” EQ contributes a set of heads, Champ Pans the oil pan, Edelbrock the intake manifold, JE Pistons a set of pistons, Manley a crankshaft, Comp Cams the camshaft, rocker arms and lifters, Kevko the valve covers and MSD the distributor. BOONE, Iowa – Mach-1 Sport Compact drivers will have another opportunity to race at Iowa’s Action Track before taking their turn on the big stage during the IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s. The division has been added to the card for the Saturday, Sept. 5 Wild Rose Casino Prelude at Boone Speedway, running for a top prize of $150 and a minimum of $25 to start. Non-qualifier pay will be $25. IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars, IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks and Karl Kustoms Northern SportMods complete the card. IMCA.TV adds to Super Nationals Broadcast Bonuses

BOONE, Iowa – More drivers will make more money in IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s main events. IMCA officials have announced nearly $8,000 in additional IMCA.TV Broadcast Bonuses will be awarded to Modified, Stock Car, Hobby Stock, Northern SportMod, Late Model and Sport Compact drivers for top five finishes in their respective main events at the 38th annual Super Nationals Sept. 7-12 at Boone Speedway. That amount complements the $14,100 guaranteed to eligible Super Nationals champions announced last month. “Obviously there is much more to the event than money but at the same time we want the purse to reflect the magnitude of Super Nationals,” IMCA President Brett Root stated. “IMCA.TV Broadcast Bonuses help supplement that. BOONE, Iowa – IMCA Modified drivers from a dozen states, representing notable first-time competitors as well as previous race winners, have been elected to start the 17th annual Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational. Kelsie Foley of Tucson, Ariz., becomes the first female driver elected to the All-Star race. Other first-time All-Stars who will take the green flag in the Friday, Sept. 11 spectacular, during the IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s at Boone Speedway, are David Goode Jr. of Copperas Cove, Texas, Jake O’Neil, also of Tucson, and Brandon Smith of Bath, N.Y. VINTON, Iowa (Aug. 11) – It’s Super Tuesday and voting for the 17th annual Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational voting has begun. Twenty-eight of the 30 IMCA Modified drivers starting the All-Star race, to be held Sept. 11 at Boone Speedway during the IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s, will be elected today. All voting will be conducted on the IMCA Facebook page with the electronic polls open until 9 p.m. CST. Voters must cast ballots for 10 candidates. The top three vote recipients from each of the five Modified regions are guaranteed starting spots, with their region of candidacy determined by where they made the majority of their IMCA sanctioned starts.
