BOONE, Iowa – The success of the inaugural event has resulted in an even bigger field for the second annual cornhole tournament preceding the IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s.
Sixty-four two-person teams will compete in the Sunday, Sept. 6 double elimination tourney. Scorezit, a division of Wehrs Machine and Racing Products, returns as title sponsor of the tournament.
Registration can be done using the Super Nationals pulldown on the imca.com website and entries will be limited to the first 64 teams. The entry fee of $30 per team will be paid at sign-in.
Payout for the top six teams are $728 for first, $546 for second, $364 for third, $182 for fourth, $60 for fifth and $40 for sixth. Each of the top four teams receives a Scorezit scorekeeper as well.
Scorezit, The Ultimate Scorekeeper for backyard games, will be available for purchase at the Wehrs booth on Manufacturers’ Row.
Various prizes will be given to cornhole tournament competitors.
The tournament will start at 11 a.m. Sunday near the east catwalk in the pit area at Boone Speedway. Teams must check in by 10:30 a.m. More information is available by emailing Coty Mallicoat at coty@raceboone.com.
