IMCA Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational Super Tuesday voting is Aug. 11

VINTON, Iowa – The Election Day all of IMCA Nation has looked forward to is Aug. 11.  Super Tuesday voting will determine 28 of the 30 drivers who start the Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational during the upcoming IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s.  All voting will be conducted that day through the IMCA Facebook page, from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. CST.  The top three vote recipients from each of the five IMCA Modified regions become All-Stars, with their region of candidacy determined by where they made the majority of their sanctioned starts. The next 13 drivers with the highest vote totals, regardless of region, join the All-Star field.  The final two All-Stars will be drivers with the top national point total and the most 40-point wins as of Aug. 28 competing at Super Nationals.  The 17th annual Fast Shafts Invitational will be Friday, Sept. 11 at Boone Speedway. Health care heroes nominations sought for honorary starters of last-chance features

BOONE, Iowa – Fans and drivers will get the opportunity to applaud three health care heroes Saturday during the IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s.  Anyone currently working on the frontline of health care can be nominated to be an honorary starter for each of the Modified last-chance features on the Sept. 12 race program. “This is one more way we can recognize and thank individuals who have provided care and encouragement to so many of us in recent months,” noted IMCA Marketing Director Kevin Yoder. “There is no better time or place to do so than on Saturday night during Super Nationals at Boone Speedway.”  Letters or emails of nomination should be 500 words or less and tell about the nominee and how they have gone above and beyond in providing care during the pandemic.  Nominations should be directed to Yoder at the IMCA home office or kyoder@imca.com.

IMCA expands RoC qualifications for 2020 Super Nationals

BOONE, Iowa – IMCA officials have announced that more drivers will be eligible to qualify for the race of champions in their respective divisions at the upcoming IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s. 2019 track champions, as well as 2020 champions or current point leaders, along with former RoC winners, Super Nationals, national and regional champions, will be eligible to qualify.  “There was a need to adjust eligibility because of the situation a number of tracks have experi­enced in 2020,” explained IMCA President Brett Root. “We expanded eligibility to include these deserving drivers due to the restricted schedules at these facilities resulting from the pandemic.”  The Harris Auto Racing Race of Champions for Modifieds, Sunoco Race Fuels Race of Champi­ons for Stock Cars, Stephenville Starter Race of Champions for Hobby Stocks and BSB Manufactur­ing Race of Champions for Northern SportMods will be held Saturday, Sept. 12 at Boone Speedway. IMCA.TV bonuses guarantee $14,000+ to Super Nationals champs

BOONE, Iowa – A couple clicks is all it will take for drivers to put themselves in the running for bigger paydays at the IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s. IMCA.TV bonuses replace Weekly Racing Bonuses to guarantee an additional $14,150 be paid to main event winners who pre-register for the 38th annual event, and who share Super Nationals information on their Facebook page any time before the first green flag flies on opening day Monday, Sept. 7 at Boone Speedway. Health care heroes theme for best appearing car contest at Super Nationals

BOONE, Iowa – The health care heroes who have given us their all throughout the Covid-19 pandemic will be celebrated at the upcoming IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s.  Modified and Northern SportMod drivers competing at Boone Speedway during the September dirt track racing spectacular are en­couraged to enter cars with the Health Care theme, promoting the contributions made by anyone from individual providers to specific hospitals.  “All our lives have been impacted by the pandemic and we owe so much to those who have cared for us, our family and our friends,” said IMCA Marketing Director Kevin Yoder. “Super Nationals is our biggest stage and as such the perfect time to thank all in the health care profession.” Along with $250 IMCA.TV broadcasting bonuses, drivers of contest winning cars in each division receive trophies. Online registration starts for 38th IMCA Super Nationals

BOONE, Iowa – Drivers can now register online to be part of the IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s. The 38th annual Super Nationals, guaranteed to be the biggest, best and richest dirt track event of the IMCA season, will be held Sept. 7-12 at Boone Speedway. “This will be the third year we’ve required online registration for Modified, Stock Car, Hobby Stock, Northern SportMod and Sport Compact drivers.
