Missouri duo credits tough competition back home after winning Super Nationals Cornhole Tournament

BOONE, Iowa (Sept. 6) – Many a Super Nationals champion has credited the tough competition they face weekly in helping earn titles won at Boone Speedway. The latest to do so are Winston, Mo., brothers Jakub and Kristchon Hisel, aka Team Cornhub, champions of Sunday’s expanded Scorezit Cornhole Tournament. Late entries into the second annual tourney, the pair didn’t lose until the first championship round game, then came back to beat the Sioux City Baggerz duo of Keith Sanders and Byron Johnson 21-8 in the 115th and final game of the tournament. Cornhub took home a $603 top prize while the Baggerz earned $474. Teams listed for Super Nationals Scorezit Cornhole Tournament

BOONE, Iowa – Sixteen hours is all it took to fill the 64-team field for the Scorezit Cornhole Tournament on Sunday before the IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s. Electronic registration began at approximately 3 p.m. Wednesday and the final two-person team completed the entry process just after 7 a.m. Thursday. The 65th team became the first alternate. 2nd annual Scorezit Cornhole Tournament open for registration

BOONE, Iowa – The success of the inaugural event has resulted in an even bigger field for the second annual cornhole tournament preceding the IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s. Sixty-four two-person teams will compete in the Sunday, Sept. 6 double elimination tourney. Scorezit, a division of Wehrs Machine and Racing Products, returns as title sponsor of the tournament. Registration can be done using the Super Nationals pulldown on the imca.com website and entries will be limited to the first 64 teams. The entry fee of $30 per team will be paid at sign-in. Payout for the top six teams are $728 for first, $546 for second, $364 for third, $182 for fourth, $60 for fifth and $40 for sixth. Each of the top four teams receives a Scorezit scorekeeper as well.
