Mohave Valley wins helping Parmeley set early pace in race for IMCA rookie awards

PHOENIX, Ariz. – It didn’t take long for John Parmeley to get his IMCA Xtreme Motor Sports Modified figured out and dialed in. The top driver in current Larry Shaw Racing Western Region and national rookie of the year standings, Parmeley raced to his career first win in the division on Feb. 21 at Mohave Valley Raceway. Following an open practice session on Friday, March 13 from 6-9 p.m., the Saturday, March 14 CSP season opener goes green at 7 p.m. Saturday’s card that was originally set for Feb. 28 will feature the ASCS Southwest Region winged Sprint Cars along with the 9th World Vapor IMCA Modifieds, Arizona Differential Pure Stocks, Scottsdale Muffler and Automotive Renegades and Dwarf Cars. IMCA Late Model, Deery Series awards renewed by Tiger Rear Ends

MOUNT ULLA, N.C. – IMCA Late Model and Deery Brothers Summer Series drivers race for shares of $2,500 in product certificates given by second-year sponsor Tiger Rear Ends. IMCA Hobby Stocks new to Saturday shows at Jackson County Speedway

MAQUOKETA, Iowa – IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks are new this season at Jackson County Speedway, joining three other sanctioned divisions on regular Saturday night race programs. Whitwell, Drake hit IMCA jackpots at Las Vegas Motor Speedway

LAS VEGAS, Nev. (March 4-5) – R.C. Whitwell recorded his fourth feature win of the season and Scott Drake got his first when IMCA Xtreme Motor Sports Modifieds ventured to Las Vegas Motor Speedway for a midweek special on the half-mile Dirt Track. Whitwell proved the fastest of 50 Wednesday night entries. He’d started eighth, battled back and forth with the 10th starting Josh Vogt much of the way and finally locked down the lead with three circuits left in the 25-lapper. EUNICE, N.M. – The first annual Black Gold Showdown brings four IMCA divisions to Cardinal Speedway for season-opening Friday, March 13 and Saturday, March 14 shows. IMCA Xtreme Motor Sports Modifieds vie for $600 to win on Friday and $700 to win on Saturday.
