Northern SportMod Nationals at Britt boasts possible $4,000 payday 

BRITT, Iowa – Winning the Tuesday, June 23 MaxY­ield Seed Northern SportMod Nationals at Hancock County Speedway could be worth as much as $4,000.

The main event for Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods pays a minimum of $2,500 to win. Five hun­dred dollar bonuses will be paid if the first-place driver is a previous event winner; has raced at least three times previ­ously this season at Britt; and has won a regular sea­son feature there this year.

Twenty-four cars qualify and four more get sponsor pro­visionals. A 10-minute pit stop on the front straight is planned midway through the 40-lapper and the winner goes home with a six-foot tall trophy.

Start money is $75 and the MaxYield Seed Hard Charger award is $100.

Entry fee for the Northern SportMods is $75. IMCA Speedway Mo­tors Weekly Racing National and Allstar Performance State points will be awarded to SportMod drivers.

Completing the card are Xtreme Motor Sports IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars, IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks and Mach-1 Sport Compacts running for weekly purses and all applicable points, including local track points.

Pit gates open at 5 p.m., the draw closes at 6:30 p.m. and hot laps are at 7 p.m. with racing to follow. Spectator admission is $15 for adults, $5 for kids ages 6-12 and free for five and under. Family passes are $40. Pit passes are $25.
