Grabouski completes Spring Nationals sweep with Saturday checkers

BEATRICE, Neb. (March 14) – Jordan Grabouski brought the broom back to Beatrice Speedway’s Spring Nationals Saturday night. Grabouski completed his sweep of the weekend’s $2,000 to win IMCA Xtreme Motor Sports Modified main events by gaining the lead following a lap 17 restart and pulling away to the checkers. He’s now a seven-time Spring Nationals winner. His latest victory was also his IMCA career 115th. “This was definitely right up there as far as the top weekends I’ve had racing. There were a lot of good cars here,” Grabouski said. “It’s always great to win at your hometown track, especially with that many people in the grandstand. (March 13) – After shaking down a new car in practice on Thursday, Jordan Grabouski got back to his regular business of winning Spring Nationals features at Beatrice Speedway on Friday. Grabouski led the last 25 of 30 laps in topping the opening night $2,000 to win main event for IMCA Xtreme Motor Sports Modifieds. The Spring Nationals checkers were his career sixth and came on a night when 234 cars from nine states and Canada saw action. “Everything played out good for us. LAS VEGAS, Nev. – A company that got its start six years ago renting shocks to race car drivers is a new sponsor for IMCA special events this season. Wahl Traction of Las Vegas, owned by Sonny Wahl, gives gift certificates good toward two shock rebuilds to top five finishers at 30 Modified and 15 SportMod specials. “I’ve been a driver and I’ve been a promoter. Rogers finds perfect fit as new Sprint Series of Texas director

FORNEY, Texas – Kevin Rogers started attending Sprint Series of Texas events as a fan. LINCOLN, Neb. – The growing number of sanctions is reflected in an expanded Eagle Motorsports awards program for IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Cars this season. New promoter adding to, checking off his to-do list at Boone County Raceway

ALBION, Neb. – Ron Sutton has been busy adding to and checking off the to-do list since taking over as promoter at Boone County Raceway. Five IMCA divisions are on Friday night programs at Albion. Opening night at the 3/8-mile clay oval is April 24. “We’re putting up a new catch fence off turns three and four. PASSCAR opens 20th season Saturday at Perris Auto Speedway

PERRIS, Calif. – After a successful 20th anniversary season opener for sprint cars at Perris Auto Speedway last Saturday night, the Riverside County clay oval will kick off the 20th anniversary PASSCAR season this Saturday, March 14. Saturday’s show will feature Super Stocks, Street Stocks, American Factory Stocks and the highly anticipated return of the IMCA Xtreme Motor Sports Modifieds. Saturday’s race will be the first IMCA sanctioned Modified race at The PAS since 2005. Since 2007, the track started sanctioning the class under the PASSCAR banner. At the urging of racers, sanctioning for the division is reverting back to IMCA in 2015.
