Osborn dominates IMCA Modified main at Lincoln County

NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (May 30) – Colton Osborn put on a dominating performance in winning Saturday’s Xtreme Motor Sports IMCA Modified feature event at Lincoln County Raceway.

After an early caution, Osborn charged to the front on the second lap and never looked back. John Hansen came from deep in the field to take runner-up honors with third place money going to Jay Steffens.

Casey Woken took the point on the seventh circuit from eventual runner-up Casey Werkmeister and drove to the IMCA Sunoco Stock Car checkers. Mikey Dancer’s efforts were rewarded with a third place finish.

Grabbing the lead at halfway, Chad Dolan of Gibbon attempted to run away and hide to cruise to the win in the Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMod feature. Bryan Herrick finished second overall and Mike Saathoff was third after leading the first nine laps.

Finishing strong and leading the final four laps, Jacob Olmstead captured top honors in the IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stock headliner. Zach Olmstead was second after leading lap five through lap 15 and Austin Davis ran third.

Andrew Baumgardner snared the lead on the seventh lap and scored the feature win in the Mach-1 Sport Compacts. Baumgardner was running second when Blake Fletcher of Hershey rolled as a re­sult of a flat tire off turn two.

Finishing second was Devin Bjorklund. Making a late charge in the waning laps, Alex Fletcher of was third.
