
Money earns top Modified cash at Lexington
By Kelly Ninas LEXINGTON, Neb. (June 19) – Earning trips to the winner’s circle Sunday at Lexington Raceway were Clay Money, Daniel Gottschalk, Mike Nichols and Jacob Olmstead. Leading the final two laps of the Xtreme Motor Sports IMCA Modified feature was money in the bank for Money. Colton Osborn ran a near-flawless race in leading the first 18 circuits, only to end up with runner-up accolades. Anthony Roth worked through traffic to finish third. Being at the point during the laps that matter the most was Gottschalk in the Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMod feature. After leading much of the way, Cole Egge was second while third went to Trent Roth. Nichols picked up IMCA Sunoco Stock Car career win number 399 in dramatic fashion. Casey Werkmeister grabbed the lead on the second lap and stayed in front until Casey Woken used the bottom groove to get past.
