BRAINERD, Minn. – A pair of Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational qualifying features are on the 15th annual Mighty Axe Nationals program this weekend at North Central Speedway.
Xtreme Motor Sports IMCA Modifieds race for $1,000 to win Friday, Aug. 26 and a minimum of $1,000 to win on Saturday, Aug. 27; an additional $200 will be paid if the winner competed on opening night.
Completing the cards at Brainerd are Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods running for $400 to win, IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks for $275 to win and Mach-1 Sport Compacts for $100 to win.
Saturday’s SportMod winner gets another $100 of they raced on Friday; Saturday Hobby Stock and Sport Compact winners each get an additional $25 if the raced on opening night.
IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, regional, Allstar Performance State and local track points will be awarded.
Pit gates open at 4 p.m. and the grandstand opens at 5:30 p.m. Racing starts at 6:45 p.m.
Spectator admission for adults is $15 or $25 for both days; $10 a day or $15 for both days for students ages 7 to 17; and free for six and under.
Backstretch pricing is $20 per vehicle per day spots can be reserved; adults are $17 a day or $30 for both days; and students are $12 a day or $20 for both days.
Adult pit passes are $35 a day or $65 for both days; students are $20 a day or $35 for both days.
Overnight camping and showers are available at no cost.
