BOONE, Iowa (July 23) – IMCA weekly, series and special events racers alike enjoy the support of Motorsports Warehouse again in 2020. The Boone-based high performance parts, tools and safety equipment retailer provides race night service at three IMCA sanctioned tracks while renewing awards for series and special event competitors for a sixth season. Motorsports Warehouse gives a $50 gift certificate to a top five finisher at each of 10 designated IMCA Sunoco Late Model specials. And a top five finisher at each event in the Speed Shift TV Dirt Knights Tour for IMCA Modifieds and in 15 designated IMCA Sunoco Stock Car specials receive a certificate to get two tires prepped. Braaksma goes back to back with BVR win on Speed Shift TV Dirt Knights Tour night 2

ALTA, Iowa (July 22) – After a convincing win on opening night, Ethan Braaksma dominated on night two of the Speed Shift TV Dirt Knights Tour for IMCA Modifieds Wednesday at Buena Vista Raceway. Braaksma made his charge from seventh starting, taking over the front spot as leader Matt Bonine slowed with mechanical issues and checked out on everybody, taking the checkers half a lap ahead of runner-up Cody Laney. Laney ran second the last nine times around the track but didn’t get the break he needed as the 25-lapper ran caution-free. Bull Ring Nationals doubleheader on tap for URSS at Rush County

LACROSSE, Kan. – The Mel Hambelton Ford Racing POWRi United Rebel Sprint Series will head to The Bullring of Rush County Speedway in LaCrosse, Kan., for the Bull Ring Nationals on Saturday, July 25 and Sunday, July 26. The preparation and awesome racing provided by the Rush County Speedway crew is one of the favorites for United Rebel Sprint Series drivers and fans. Broken Arrow, Okla.’s Jake Martens was crowned the 2019 Bull Ring Nationals champion. The Bull Ring Nationals will pay $700 to the winner on Saturday night and $1,000 will be on the line for the top spot on Sunday. Hot laps are scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m. both nights with racing slated to begin at 7 p.m.

Back-to-Front Challenge returns to Dodge City on Friday night

And a lucky fan could walk away from the night’s races with an extra $10,000. The always popular Driver & Fan Appreciation Night continues July 24 at the 3/8-mile clay oval in Southwest Kansas with fans admitted for $5 with a ticket from a driver. Otherwise, general admission is $12. Drivers and fans alike will be treated to all variety of giveaways throughout the night of racing that includes the Hambelton Racing DCRP Sprint Cars, IMCA Modifieds, IMCA SportMods, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars and IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks. $250 Sunoco bonus moves to Pepsi Lee County Speedway this Friday night

VINTON, Iowa – The payday gets even better this week for the IMCA Sunoco Late Model feature winner at Pepsi Lee County Speedway. As part of a regular points night of racing, the IMCA Late Model winner pockets an extra $250 courtesy of Sunoco Race Fuels. Sunoco bonuses are being presented at IMCA Late Model sanctioned weekly tracks this year. Drivers are eligible for only one bonus during the 2020 racing season. If the feature winner is a previous Sunoco winner, the bonus moves to the next eligible position. 2020 winners have been Jeff Aikey at Independence Motor Speedway, Matt Ryan at 34 Raceway, Joel Callahan at Dubuque Fairgrounds Speedway, Eric Pollard at 300 Raceway, Justin Kay at Davenport Speedway and Dalton Simonsen at Marshalltown Speedway. Eckrich becomes third Drive For 5 feature winner

By Brian Neal DONNELLSON, Iowa (July 17) – The third installment of the Shottenkirk Parts Express Drive For 5 resulted in a third different $1,000 IMCA Sunoco Late Model feature winner Friday at Pepsi Lee County Speedway. Andy Eckrich saw his drive to the checkers slowed by just a single caution, topping the 25-lapper ahead of Denny Woodworth and Dustin Griffin. Eckrich and Woodworth drew front row starts, with Eckrich taking the early lead over Woodworth and Griffin. The team cars of Woodworth and Griffin tried to keep pace with Eckrich over the first half of the race but the leader steadily began to pull away from both. The only thing to slow Eckrich down was the only caution of the race, on lap 15. Eckrich jumped back out front following the restart, with Woodworth and Griffin glued to his back bumper. Port Royal checkers are PASS fourth of season for Bard

(July 18) – Garrett Bard notched Pennsylvania Sprint Series win number four of the season at Port Royal Speedway Saturday, coming from seventh starting spot – the biggest advance to a win since the season opener May 30 – and holding off a determined veteran Nathan Gramley at the end. With defending IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Car national and PASS champion Ken Duke Jr. and Gramley, both former Port Royal champions, on the front row, it might have seemed that things would be settled there, but Bard and several other challengers had other ideas. Gramley built a nice little lead in the early laps, but a caution bunched the field again, looking to improve on three straight runner-up finishes. (July 18) – For the second occasion in 2020, the engines roared at Cottage Grove Speedway with a full pit area at the historical ¼-mile clay oval Saturday night. More than 30 IMCA Modifieds inhabited the house for their second race of the year and Jake Mayden had his way with the field in earning his first local checkers of 2020. John Campos wound up second with third going to Bricen James. The Karl Kustoms Northern SportMods would witness a giant-slaying as Hunter Bloom was large and in charge of the main event. Eaton, Topper get first Bethany feature wins

BETHANY, Mo. – Again, a great car count filed into the pit area at Bethany Speedway Saturday night and fans were treated to an unpredictable and exciting night of racing. Jacob Blair took the point at the drop of the green in the IMCA Modified feature over Dustin Miller. They battled until a yellow came out. Steven Bowers Jr. has been on absolute tear the last few weeks and on the restart drove around both into the lead. Shayne Bailey followed Bowers to the front but couldn’t deny Bowers another win. Sixteen IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars lined up for their feature which came to an early halt when Carson Masoner went for a ride and rolled in turn two.
