United Rebel Sprint Series prepares for $1,000 to win events in Central Kansas

OBERLIN, Kan. – The weather has played a major factor in getting the season kicked off for the Drive to Zero POWRi United Rebel Sprint Series Presented by Mel Hambelton Ford Racing. Last weekend’s event was forced to cancel due to damp track conditions. The series looks forward to a doubleheader weekend on tap this Friday, May 21 and Saturday, May 22. On Friday, drivers head to “The Bullring” of Rush County Speedway in LaCrosse, Kan., to compete for the $1,000 prize. Friday’s event will pay $200 to start the feature event. Dodge City Raceway Park reschedules Stock Car-Hobby Stock Shootout

By Whitney Hodgin DODGE CITY, Kan. – Due to popular demand, Dodge City Raceway Park Director Craig The Crowd Pleaser Dollansky rescheduled the Sept. 4 ‘Stock Car-Hobby Stock Shootout’ to the ‘Sooner Late Model’ special July 30 during the annual Dodge City Days festivities. “This will make an even bigger event at the track for people coming to town for Dodge City Days and looking for entertainment on the first night,” Dollansky said. After multiple drivers expressed an interest in attending the IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s at Iowa’s Action Track, Dodge City Raceway Park has accommodated this request by making a schedule change. “Competitors can now attend the IMCA Super Nationals at the Boone Speedway in Boone, Iowa, if they want,” said Dollansky. $250 Sunoco bonus on the line Saturday at Independence

INDEPENDENCE, Iowa – The payday is increased for the winner of Saturday’s main event for IMCA Sunoco Late Models at Independence Motor Speedway. The second $250 Sunoco Race Fuels bonus of the season will be paid to the May 22 Late Model winner at Indee, making the top check a cool $850. Sunoco bonuses will be presented at Late Model sanctioned tracks again this year. Drivers are eligible for one bonus during the 2021 racing season. Matt Ryan was the first winner of the year last Wednesday at 300 Raceway in Farley. IMCA will announce mid-week before the dates bonuses are to be awarded at each track. The grandstand at Independence opens at 4:30 pm and general admission is $13 for adults, $5 for race fans 6-12, & 5 and under getting in free. Racing is set to get underway at 6 pm.

NY-Penn IMCA Modified Series kicking off with Sean Lias Memorial

By Evan Canfield SUSQUEHANNA, Pa. – After a long off-season and months of planning, the newly-formed NY-Penn IMCA Modified Series is ready to set sail on the 2021 season. With a full schedule set to see eight events at five different tracks, drivers are eager to begin the inaugural season of the series. With nearly 30 cars registered for the year, large car counts and great racing are on the horizon for a big year. Kicking off this year’s campaign will be one of the biggest races of the season, the Sean Lias Memorial at Susquehanna, Pa.’s Penn Can Speedway slated for May 30. Performance Bodies, MD3 renew IMCA Modified and SportMod awards

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa – Performance Bodies and MD3 have renewed a slate of post-season awards for drivers in three IMCA divisions. Champions and rookies of the year in each of the five IMCA Modified regions, and Karl Kustoms Northern SportMod and Smiley’s Racing Products Southern SportMod national champions and rookies of the year all receive $175 MD3 product certificates. Those certificates will be presented during the national awards banquet this fall or mailed beginning the following week from the IMCA home office. Champions and front row starters in both Modified and Northern SportMod main events at the IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s also receive $175 product certificates. SHERIDAN, Ark. – Getting her first IMCA Modified feature win was priceless. The reaction from her family and crew was even better. WEST BURLINGTON, Iowa – Race fan can tune in on May 29 to see drivers in four IMCA divisions race for $1,000 top checks on Done Right TV Night at 34 Raceway. Added money from Bank makes Saturday features for IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Sunoco Late Models, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars and Karl Kustoms Northern SportMods all $1,000 to win. The Modified feature is a Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot qualifier and the Stock Car feature a B & B Chassis All-Star qualifier. Minimum start money in all divisions is $100.
