Block provides IMCA Modified fireworks at Outagamie

By Joe Orsini SEYMOUR, Wis. (July 1, 2022) – The Fourth of July weekend kicked off with 180 cars filling the pits at Outagamie Speedway. Each of the drivers wanted to avoid fireworks on the track and enjoy them from victory lane after the races. The Friesen Performance IMCA Modified feature kicked off with Jason Hyerdall and then Dan Roedl in front. Wyatt Block wasted no time moving into position to challenge as he moved inside Hyerdall to secure second. Block continued to work the groove inside Roedl and fought side-by-side with the leader for multiple laps as Mike Mullen steadily worked the high side into fourth place. At halfway, Roedl led Block, Cody Schroeder, and Mike Mullen. A lap 12 restart saw Block slice past Roedl into the top spot and try to open a gap on the field. Hobby Stock, Northern SportMod races of champions move to Tuesday at IMCA Super Nationals

BOONE, Iowa (July 1, 2022) – Race of champions events for Hobby Stocks and Northern SportMods move to the Tuesday night program during the IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s at Boone Speedway. Former Super Nationals, national and regional champions and former race winners, as well as 2022 track champions or points leaders will be eligible to qualify for their respective race of champions event on Labor Day Monday, Sept. 5. The Stephenville Starter Race of Champions for Hobby Stocks and BSB Manufacturing Race of Champions for Northern SportMods will be Tuesday, Sept. 6. Both race of champions events had been part of Saturday programs since their addition to the Super Nationals schedule in 2009. “Every year there are drivers who qualify for the race of champions but not their main event. Registration begins for 40th IMCA Super Nationals

BOONE, Iowa (June 30, 2022) – Registration has begun for the 40th annual IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s. The form for pre-registration can be found at imcasupernationals.com. “We encourage drivers planning to be part of the Sept. 5-10 Super Nationals to get this process done as soon as possible,” noted IMCA President Brett Root. “It helps makes planning for this event easier for everyone.” Drivers must be IMCA members in the division for which they register in order for their registration to be confirmed. They must also be registered for the event before their pit stall application will be processed. Arlington Stock Car checkers fly for Lund

ARLINGTON, Minn. (June 25, 2022) – Saturday’s IMCA Sunoco Stock Car feature at Arlington Raceway saw a new car in victory lane but not without a battle first. Andrea McCain led the first seven laps before getting too high following a restart and seeing Curt Lund take over the top spot. Tim Malchow started ninth and worked his way to second but couldn’t get around Lund as the cars behind him were all vying for the top spot, too, with three- and four-wide racing. In the end Lund won the race, Malchow took second and Chad Schroeder took third. Cory Probst again pulled off the feature win in the IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stock feature, which was tainted with a late race crashes on laps nine and 10. Andrews sails from 10th to Eagle checkers

(June 25, 2022) – Matt Andrews went sailing Saturday night, from row five at the start to victory lane following Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMod main event at Eagle Raceway. Andrews started 10th, snagged the lead with 12 to go and took the checkers ahead of Ryan Argobast and Dana Deeke. “When you have to start in the back because of the points deal, it’s pretty tough to get to the front. Wilkinson Express keeps rolling at Off Road Speedway

(June 25, 2022) – The Cameron Wilkinson Expressed rolled to victory lane for the sixth time in eight starts this season at Off Road Speedway. Wilkinson hurried to the front of Saturday’s IMCA Sunoco Stock Car field from deep in the starting lineup, this time from the sixth row, requiring just six laps to take the lead from Justin Berschinger, who had inherited the front position after early leader Ron Pettitt left with car trouble. Austin Brauner took second place and Tejay Miellke finished third. James Roebuck won a Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMod feature for the third time at Off Road Speedway by wresting the lead from Wes Hochstein coming out of turn four with 12 laps left. Roebuck then held off pressure from eventual second-place finisher Colby Langenberg and Mitch Coble.

IMCA Hobby Stocks run at The New Raceway Park’s Dave Riley Memorial

JEFFERSON, S.D. (June 27, 2022) – IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks race for $1,500 to win when The New Raceway Park hosts the Sunday, July 3 Dave Riley Memorial. The runner-up earns $900, with $600 paid for third and $350 for fourth. Minimum start money is $100 and the feature purse is more than $5,000. Tow is $50. The hard charger earns $256 and there is no entry fee. The Hobby Stock portion of the holiday weekend event will be draw/redraw. From Sioux City, Riley was a long-time IMCA Hobby Stock competitor at tracks in South Dakota and western Iowa. The memorial race will be held on what would have been his 50th birthday. Marolf, Eckrich claim Drive For 5 victories at Lee County

By Brian Neal DONNELLSON, Iowa (June 24, 2022) – Nick Marolf and Denny Eckrich were both $1,000 feature winners in round four of Drive For 5 Friday night at Lee County Speedway. Ray Raker and Darin Weisinger Jr. led the field to green in the 25-lap IMCA Sunoco Late Model main, with Weisinger sliding past Raker on lap two to take over the top spot. Coming off turn two to complete lap eight, Marolf went three-wide off the top of the track to emerge with the lead, with Chuck Hanna moving into the runner-up spot one lap later. Hanna’s run up front came to an end on lap 16, as he slowed and pulled into the pits with mechanical troubles. This handed the second spot to Dalton Simonsen. IMCA Stock Cars are spectacular at Shawano

(June 25, 2022) – Though the IMCA Sunoco Stock Car division is known as The Class Too Tough To Tame, it doesn’t always feature a three-wide battle for the lead for nearly half of the race. But Saturday night at Shawano Speedway it sure did with Trent Nolan prevailing for his fourth win of the year. Fresh off an impressive heat race win earlier in the evening, Dylan Stedjee took the lead on lap one. Tyler Wendt pressured Stedjee from the start, pulled alongside the leader on more than one occasion while Kyle Frederick, Nolan and Luke Lemmens joined the battle at the front of the field. Frederick pulled to the outside of Stedjee on lap seven to take the lead. Lemmens quickly made it three-wide for the lead with Frederick and Stedjee. Frederick continued to lead as Lemmens ran second and Nolan moved to third.
