
Racing starts this weekend in IMCA’s North Central Region
DONNELLSON, Iowa – The 2014 IMCA race season gets underway on both sides of the Mississippi River this weekend. Five sanctioned divisions are in action Friday, April 4 at Lee County Speedway in Donnellson for the first weekly event in the Belleville Motor Sports North Central Region. Sprint Invaders are also on the card, along with IMCA Xtreme Motor Sports Modifieds, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars, Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods, IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks and Mach-1 Sport Compacts. The Modifieds race for $500 to win, Stock Cars and SportMods both for $300, Hobbies for $200 and Sport Compacts for $100. Hot laps are at 6:45 p.m. and racing starts at 7:30 p.m. Algona Raceway rolls out the red carpet on Saturday, April 5 for North Iowa Frostbuster drivers. Modifieds race for $1,000 to win in their Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot qualifier.
