MARSHALLTOWN, Iowa (May 1, 2026) — The IMCA Mod Lites kicked off the night at the Cliff Chambers Memorial at Marshalltown Speedway with an impressive drive from Riley Clem. The Bakersfield, California driver started mid-pack and methodically worked his way to the front to earn his fifth win of the year at four different tracks in three different states—and his first victory of the season at Marshalltown. Dillon Raffurty advanced from ninth to finish second, while Austin Gray completed the podium. Bryan Zehm was fourth, followed by Josh May.
One of the biggest moments of the night belonged to Kael Koch, who captured his first MoTown victory in the Sunoco IMCA Hobby Stocks. The Marshalltown driver, who started third, stayed poised under pressure and drove a smooth race to score his first win of the season in the B&B Racing Chassis Northern Region. Corey VanDerwilt finished second, while Eric Knutson charged from 10th to third. Tom Killen Jr. was fourth and Eric Stanton completed the top five.
Multiple restarts kept the Karl Kustoms IMCA Northern SportMods feature lively, but Brayton Carter of Oskaloosa remained composed throughout. Starting seventh, Carter worked his way to the front and held steady to secure his first win of the year. Matt Avila charged from 10th to finish second, with Matt Harwood third. Colton Livezey and Brett Thomas completed the top five.
In Sunoco IMCA Stock Car action, Marshalltown’s Jimmy Gustin was in complete control from the drop of the green. Starting on the pole, Gustin led every lap to earn his third win of the season in the EQ Cylinder Heads Northern Region—and his first victory of the year at Marshalltown. Hunter Smith finished second, while Jonathan Logue advanced from ninth to third. Johnny Spaw made a strong run from 14th to fourth, and Thor Anderson completed the top five.
Curtis Masterson of Reasnor capped off the Sport Compact feature with a strong run to victory after starting sixth. David Kimmel finished second, followed by Katelynn Watts in third. Jeremy Williams advanced from 11th to fourth, while Paige Sanders rounded out the top five.
The Karl Kustoms IMCA Modifieds saw Todd Shute of Norwalk deliver a dominant performance, leading start to finish to claim his second win of the season at two different tracks in the Razor Chassis North Central Region. Jacob Murray finished second, followed by Jake McBirnie in third. Jerry Flippo was fourth, with Kollin Hibdon rounding out the top five.
