Cardinal Speedway opens this weekend with inaugural Black Gold Showdown

EUNICE, N.M. – The first annual Black Gold Showdown brings four IMCA divisions to Cardinal Speedway for season-opening Friday, March 13 and Saturday, March 14 shows. IMCA Xtreme Motor Sports Modifieds vie for $600 to win on Friday and $700 to win on Saturday. Top prize for Scoggin-Dickey Parts Center Southern SportMods and IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars is $500 each night. IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks vie for $300 top prizes. A $500 bonus will be paid to the driver with the top two-day point total in each division. Special events drivers in five IMCA divisions earn Schoenfeld certificates

VAN BUREN, Ark. – Schoenfeld Headers awards special events contingencies to drivers in five IMCA divisions again this season. Product certificates valued at $50 go to designated place finishers at specials for IMCA Xtreme Motor Sports Modifieds, IMCA Late Models, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars, Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods and Scoggin-Dickey Parts Center Southern SportMods. Ken Schrader joins IMCA Modified field on opening night at Cotton Bowl

PAIGE, Texas – Ken Schrader joins the IMCA Xtreme Motor Sports Modified field on opening night at Cotton Bowl Speedway. Scoggin-Dickey Parts Center Southern SportMods, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars and IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks are on the Saturday, March 14 card. Pit gates open at 4 p.m., the grandstand opens at 5 p.m. and racing starts at 7 p.m. Saturday will also be Larry Kahler’s first night on the job as director of competition at Cotton Bowl. FRANKFORT, Ohio – Fourteen point races are on the initial schedule for the inaugural Ohio Thunder IMCA Eagle Motorsports RaceSaver Sprint Series.
