NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (July 11) – Dave Pederson, Jamey Kennicutt, Kyle Werkmeister, Jacob Olmstead and Erik Nelson all punched their tickets to the winner’s circle Saturday evening at Lincoln County Raceway.
Cashing in on his great starting spot on the grid, Pederson led every lap of the Xtreme Motor Sports IMCA Modified feature to earn the victory. Mike Densberger made the pass for second place with two laps to go.
Grabbing the lead on the sixth lap and never looking back, Kennicutt claimed top honors in the Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMod main. Making his way through the pack, Chad Dolan wheeled his hot rod to the runner-up finish after starting deep in the field.
Winning the IMCA Sunoco Stock Car feature was a test of perseverance for Werkmeister, who led every lap during the showcase event. Werkmeister was involved in an incident on the waning laps, but it wasn’t enough to hamper his winning efforts. Crossing the line in second was Mikey Dancer.
Continuing his dream season, Olmstead grabbed the lead of the IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stock feature on the sixth lap and never trailed again to win yet another feature event. Having one of his best finishes of the 2015 season was Jacob Wolsleben with a runner-up showing,
Grabbing the lead early and cruising to the feature win in the Mach-1 Sport Compacts was Erik Nelson. Andrew Baumgardner was a strong second.
