Waterman tops East Moline’s Tribute to Ron Gustaf

Waterman outdueled Chuck Hanna on a lap 19 restart and won the midweek Tribute to Ron Gustaf IMCA Sunoco Late Model feature. “(Ron) built my motor when I first started racing,” Waterman said post-race. “What he meant to us and racing is great.” That caution had flown for race long leader Gary Webb, who went too wide off turn two and smacked the wall while on the point. Waterman started on the tail and worked his way through the field to restart on the double front row. Aikey gets job done in IMCA Modified feature at Fayette County Speedway Rage Chassis 40

By Zakary Kriener WEST UNION, Iowa (July 20, 2022) – The Rage Chassis 40 did not disappoint Tuesday night as Fayette County Speedway hosted the $2,000 to win fair special for Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds. At the end of the 40-lap feature race, it was legend Jeff Aikey who parked his no. 77 hot rod in victory lane. Aikey wasted little time finding his way to the front after starting third on the grid. IMCA Modifieds headline Barona’s Summer Shootout

LAKESIDE, Calif. (July 20, 2022) – Five IMCA divisions are on Friday and Saturday Summer Shootout cards at Barona Speedway. Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds run for $1,000 to win and Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational qualifying eligibility in their July 22 and July 23 features at the quick Southern California speedplant. Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMods chase $650 top checks, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars and IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks both run for $500 to win and Mach-1 IMCA Sport Compacts run for $300 to win both nights. LaCrosse wins big twice at Van Iten Memorial

(July 17, 2022) – Big money brought the big hitters to The ‘Burg Speedway for Sunday’s second annual Eric Van Iten Memorial and Benji LaCrosse was the two-time big winner. LaCrosse earned $7,800 on the night, following his $5,000 IMCA Sunoco Stock Car win with the $2,800 Friesen Performance IMCA Modified checkers. Seventy-one Stock Cars were among the 188 entries for the special night. Aaron Stolp held serve as he led the opening lap from his P1 starting spot on the Stock Car grid. VINTON, Iowa (July 18, 2022) – Another 16 Friesen Performance Modified drivers have won feature events paying $1,000 or more in the past month, earning Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational qualifying eligibility along with those checkers. Hubbard roars at the Mountain

(July 16, 2022) – Drivers had a hot and sunny day at Shenandoah Speedway and Billy Hubbard was the hottest as he went to the front and held off a charge from Matt Mullins for his first Virginia Sprint Series win of the year. It was a feature-only IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Car Saturday event on the pavement and Chris Ware and Chris Humblet paced the field to green, with Humblet out first up high on the oval. Hubbard and Jerald Harris quickly joined the fight up front. Hubbard got by, leaving Humblet to Harris as the laps clicked by. Hilmer, Kimm, Schmitz highlight night of firsts at Benton County Speedway

VINTON, Iowa (July 17, 2022) – It was a memorable Sunday night for a trio of drivers at Benton County Speedway. Brady Hilmer, Michael Kimm and Steven Schmitz earned the first wins of their careers in their respective divisions at The Bullring. Hilmer took the lead at the drop of the green in the main event for the Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMods. While Hilmer paced the field, Joe Docekal worked through traffic and settled into second a few laps into the 15-lapper. He then proceeded to pursue the leader around the top of the quick quarter-mile.
