Dominator Race Products expands IMCA program with new awards for Hobby Stocks

LYONS, Ohio – Drivers in a sixth sanctioned division are in line for awards from Dominator Race Products this season. The Lyons, Ohio, manufacturer gives nosepiece kits to 11th and 12th place drivers in both Northern and Southern regions for IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks. Dubuque Speedway to host Tri-Track Challenge

By Jerry Mackey DUBUQUE, Iowa – Dubuque Speedway will host a special night of racing featuring the Ideal Ready Mix Tri-Track Challenge. Out Pace Racing Products IMCA Late Models will tackle the high banks of Dubuque Speedway on Sunday, May 29 with a 50-lap main event headlining the racing program with the winner pocketing a cool $2,000. In addition to the high-powered Late Models the Merfeld Brothers Auto IMCA Modifieds, GSI Collision Specialists IMCA Northern SportMods and IMCA Stock Cars will all be in action. Hot laps are at 6 p.m. with the first race scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Following the races a fan appreciation party will be held in the Beer Garden with music and refreshments being provided by SPI Promotions.

IMCA Modified, Late Model, Sprint drivers all chase awards from Diversified Machine Inc.

LANCASTER, Pa. – The Xtreme Motor Sports IMCA Modified driver racking up the most 40-point feature wins this season will also be the big winner in Diversified Machine Inc.’s contingency award program. The second-year IMCA marketing partner gives a Bulldog CT-1 quick change rear end to the top driver in Modified wins in 2016. Ricky Thornton Jr. collected 31 checkers to win the rear end last year. SANTA MARIA, Calif. (May 24) – A pair of $1,000 to win features for Xtreme Motor Sports IMCA Modified features are on programs for the May 28 and 29 Nationals at Santa Maria Raceway. Both Saturday and Sunday races are qualifying events for the Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot. URSS Rebels ready for Colorado/Kansas tripleheader weekend

BYERS, Colo. – The 2016 United Rebel Sprint Series returns to Colorado Motorsports Park Saturday night. The 3/8-mile oval hosted several events last season and will host the second of eight races in 2016. The Colorado region is thick with talent, both young guns and seasoned veterans and looks to be ultra-competitive again this season. In the last visit to the CMSP oval, 18 racers made the trek with Zac Taylor scoring his first victory of the 2016 URSS/IMCA EMI RaceSaver Series Colorado Region. Mark Walinder, Jed Werner, Adam Trimble and Austin McLean rounded out the top five. Drivers from Kansas, Nebraska and Oklahoma are also expected to make the trip to Colorado for an action-packed night. Deery Series has Memorial Day date at Boone Speedway

BOONE, Iowa (May 24) – Boone Speedway rolls out the red carpet on Memorial Day for the traditional holiday visit by the Deery Brothers Summer Series. The Monday, May 30 show marks the 45th appearance at Boone by the IMCA Late Model tour. This will be the 14th event to be held there on Memorial Day. Two thousand dollars will be paid to win and a minimum of $300 paid to start the main event. VINTON, Iowa – The best Xtreme Motor Sports IMCA Modified drivers from across the Hawkeye State and much of the Midwest converge on Benton County Speedway next Monday, May 30 for the first of a dozen 2016 Hawkeye Dirt Tour events. MANDAN, N.D. – IMCA Modified and Stock Car drivers planning to follow the upcoming Kupper Chevrolet Dakota Classic Tour can go on line to complete the early registration process beginning Wednesday, June 1. No claim cards to be issued after May 31

VINTON, Iowa – Claim cards will not be issued to IMCA drivers in six divisions purchasing 2016 competitor’s licenses after Tuesday, May 31. The exception will be for any Modified, Stock Car, Hobby Stock, SportMod or Sport Compact drivers who accepts a claim made at a sanctioned event on or after June 1. “I recommend drivers who have not already done so purchase a new license immediately,” said IMCA President Brett Root. “That will ensure they receive the full benefits of IMCA membership, including their claim card and eligibility to make any claim.” Licenses can be purchased by calling the IMCA home office at 319 472-2201.
