IMCA Modified Madness 50 take two is Friday at Davenport

DAVENPORT, Iowa – Due to last week’s rainout, Davenport Speedway has rescheduled the IMCA Modified Madness 50 for this Friday, May 26. Top IMCA Modified drivers from Iowa, Illinois and Wisconsin, will be racing for the $2,000 prize and Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot berth that awaits the winner of the main event. This is the seventh straight year DRT TRAK Racing Inc. has offered a $2,000 to win race for the Modifieds. The IMCA Modified Madness 50 has yet to see a repeat winner. Last year, 49 Modified drivers representing four states took part in the race. Kyle Brown of Madrid is the defending winner. IMCA Modifieds will use a draw/redraw format for the event. Also racing will be the Petersen Plumbing & Heating IMCA Late Models, Koehler Electric Street Stocks, and the Hawkeye Auto IMCA SportMods, competing for weekly track points. IMCA Modifieds roar at Thunder Mountain in Empire State Series opener

CENTER LISLE, N.Y. (May 24) – Touring IMCA Modifieds race for $750 to win when the 16th annual Empire State Series opens Saturday night at Thunder Mountain Speedway. IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, Dirt Works Eastern Region, Allstar Performance State and track points will be awarded for the May 27 event. IMCA Modifieds chase $1,200 checks at Santa Maria Nationals

SANTA MARIA, Calif. – A pair of $1,200 to win IMCA Modified main events are on the Memorial Weekend ticket at Santa Maria Raceway’s Saturday and Sunday, May 27 and 28 Nationals. Both features are qualifying events for the 2017 Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot and IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, Larry Shaw Race Cars Western Region, Allstar Performance State and local track points will be awarded each night. HO’T Memorial Weekend special boasts $3,000 to win IMCA Hobby Stock feature

ELM MOTT, Texas – One of the top-paying IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stock events of the season is on tap for Sunday, May 28, when Heart O’ Texas Speedway hosts its Texas Shootout special. A minimum of $100 will be paid to start that feature and entry fee is $35. The winner also gets their registration paid for at Abilene Speedway’s Southern Challenge this fall. BOONE, Iowa – A Memorial Day tradition continues at Boone Speedway when the Deery Brothers Summer Series headlines the holiday race program. Touring IMCA Late Models race for $2,000 to win and a minimum of $300 to start the Monday, May 29 main event. Arnold Motor Supply Hawkeye Dirt Tour opens on Memorial Day at Benton County Speedway

VINTON, Iowa – The home track of the IMCA Modified division hosts opening night for the Arnold Motor Supply Hawkeye Dirt Tour. IMCA Modifieds race for $1,000 to win and a minimum of $150 to start their Monday, May 29 main event at Benton County Speedway. Dodge City title chases continue on Sunday, free admission for military personnel

As such, it is only fitting that championship chase action at Dodge City Raceway Park continues with a special Sunday night, May 28 card this week. And to honor those who protect our nation, Sunday’s second Lewis Automotive Night of the season that goes green at 7:30 p.m. will offer free admission to military personnel and their dependents. URSS Rebels ready for RPM, 81 doubleheader  

HAYS, Kan. – The United Rebel Sprint Series will hit the ground running with a double header weekend at one of the driver’s favorite tracks and a trip to one of the region’s most storied tracks. All eyes will be on the Rebels as the point season begins with trips to two lightning fast 3/8’s-mile ovals. WEST FARGO, N.D. – IMCA Modifieds race for $700 to win both nights of Red River Valley Speedway’s Thursday and Friday May 25-26 Dakota Cat 100 special.
