IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars get top billing at Crist Memorial

OSBORN, Mo. – IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars run for $1,262 to win US 36 Raceway’s Joe Crist Memorial Shootout. The third annual special is sponsored by the Crist family. Along with a minimum of $125 to start and $162 for the longest tow, the Friday, July 26 event pays $62 to each race winner, the driver who draws the number 62 pill and to the hard luck award recipient. There is no entry fee. IMCA Modifieds and IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Cards are also on the card, with IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, regional, E3 Sparks Plugs State and track points to be awarded. Pit passes are $35. Grandstand admission is $15 for adults, $12 for seniors and military, $5 for kids ages 7-12 and free for six and under. IMCA Stock Cars chase $4,000 check at Hancock County’s Hobo 100

BRITT, Iowa – IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars chase a $4,000 top check at Hancock County Speedway’s Friday, July 26 Hobo 100. Rounding out the card are IMCA Modifieds vying for $1,000 to win and a berth on the 2020 Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot, while Karl Kustoms Northern SportMods run for $750 to win, IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks for $500 to win and Mach-1 Sport Compacts for $200 to win. IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, regional and E3 Spark Plugs Iowa State points will be awarded at the draw/redraw show. Deery Brothers Summer Series gets top billing at Fayette County Fair show

WEST UNION, Iowa – A blue ribbon-worthy show is guaranteed when the Deery Brothers Summer Series headlines the Wednesday, July 24 race program at Fayette County Speedway. The IMCA Late Model tour main event pays $2,000 to win and a minimum of $300 to start. Todd Cooney of Des Moines was the winner when the series made its much-anticipated return to West Union and the Fayette County Fair last summer. Park Jefferson date kicks off four-night IMCA Dirt Knights Tour swing

JEFFERSON, S.D. (July 14) – The Arnold Motor Supply Dirt Knights Tour journeys out of state for the first time this season, traveling to Park Jefferson Speedway for a Monday, July 22 show that opens a four-night swing. IMCA Modifieds run for $1,500 to win in tour events at Jefferson and on Tuesday, July 23 at Hancock County Speedway in Britt, then for a top prize of $2,000 Wednesday, July 24 at Buena Vista Raceway at Alta, in an event that doubles as the Al Ritts Memorial. Black Hills, Gillette host weekend 38 Specials for IMCA Modifieds

RAPID CITY, S.D. – What could be a very special weekend could put more than $2,000 in the pocket of an IMCA Modified driver. Black Hills Speedway in Rapid City, S.D., hosts the $1,250 to win, Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot qualifying 38 Special on Friday, July 19. Another $800 goes to the winner of the Saturday, July 20 38 Special at Gillette, Wy., Thunder Speedway. IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, Larry Shaw Race Cars Western Region, E3 Spark Plugs State and track points will be awarded. Entry fee is $75 and pit gates ope and racing starts at 7 p.m. each night. Deery Series headlines midweek show at CJ Speedway

COLUMBUS JUNCTION, Iowa – The Deery Brothers Summer Series makes another much-anticipated return to CJ Speedway to headline the Wednesday, July 17 midweek special. Touring IMCA Late Models will race for $2,000 to win and a minimum of $300 to start at Columbus Junction, where pit gates and the grandstand open at 4:30 p.m. Racing follows 7 p.m. hot laps. Spectator admission is $15 for adults, $10 for seniors, $7 for students ages 11-17 and free for kids 10 and under. Pit passes are $30. Wheatshocker Nationals this weekend for United Rebel Sprint Series

By David Smith, Jr., OKTidbits HAYS, Kansas – A staple on the series schedule happens as the Lucas Oil POWRi United Rebel Sprint Series presented by Mel Hambelton Ford Racing heads to RPM Speedway this coming Saturday and Sunday for the 11th annual Wheatshocker Nationals. This huge two-night IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Car event will be held in conjunction with the Ellis County Fair in Hays. Sunday night’s championship finale will pay $2,000 to the winner. BAPS hosts co-sanctioned IMCA RaceSaver show this Saturday

By Frank Buhrman YORK HAVEN, Pa. – The Pennsylvania Sprint Series will be joined by the Mid-Atlantic Sprint Series for co-sanctioned racing at BAPS Motor Speedway in York Haven Saturday, July 6. Racing is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. This will be the fifth PASS IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Car event at BAPS this season. Zach Newlin has won two of the previous four, with single wins for Cale Reigle and John Walp. This is the first of three co-sanctioned events at the track. Ken Duke currently leads PASS point standings, as well as national standings for the division, with Newlin in second. Doug Dodson, Reigle and Devin Adams round out the top five. The Mid-Atlantic Sprint Series (MASS) races at tracks in eastern Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware.

30th annual Kupper Chevrolet Dakota Classic Tour starts Saturday in Jamestown

JAMESTOWN, N.D. – IMCA Modified and IMCA Sunoco Stock Car drivers from 12 states and Canada have already pre-registered for the 30th annual Kupper Chevrolet Dakota Classic Tour. The tour starts its six consecutive day run Saturday, July 6 at Jamestown Speedway. The Tour then goes to Nodak Speedway at Minot on Sunday, July 7. On Monday, July 8, the series travels across the international border to Estevan, Sask., Motor Speedway. Williston Basin Speedway is the next stop on Tuesday, July 9. The series then heads to Southwest Speedway in Dickinson on Wednesday, July 10. Dacotah Speedway in Mandan hosts Championship Night on Thursday, July 11, and the Corral Sales Legendary 50 on Friday, July 12. Belleville, Mayetta events next for United Rebel Sprint Series

By David Smith Jr., OKTidbits OBERLIN, Kan. – A busy holiday weekend is just ahead as the Lucas Oil POWRi United Rebel Sprint Series presented by Mel Hambelton Ford Racing kicks off Thursday night atop the Belleville High Banks Speedway in Belleville, Kan., before making lone 2019 appearance at Thunder Hill Speedway in Mayetta on Saturday night. The Independence Day special will pay $1,000 to win with $200 for all drivers making the feature finale. Gates will open at 5 p.m. with hot laps scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Racing is slated for a 7:30 p.m. start time. Adult general admission tickets are $18 with kids ages 10-17 $10.
