500th Summer Series, IMCA Dirt Knights opener tentative for May 7 at Marshalltown Speedway

MARSHALLTOWN, Iowa – The Dale DeFrance Memorial is guaranteed to be one for the history book. United Rebel Sprint Series opening weekend at RPM’s Classic Weekend

By David Smith, Jr., OKTidbits PR HAYS, Kansas – The 15th consecutive season for the Lucas Oil POWRi United Rebel Sprint Series presented by Mel Hambelton Ford Racing kicks off in just three-short weeks as the tour will head to RPM Speedway in Hays, Kan., for a weekend doubleheader. Set for Friday and Saturday, March 27-28, the annual Mike Hughes Sunflower Classic Memorial presented by Nutrien Ag Solutions will see both night shows paying $1,000 to win. IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, E3 Spark Plugs Kansas State and series points will be awarded. A huge car count is expected with drivers from Nebraska, Oklahoma and Colorado indicating their intentions on competing with their Kansas counterparts. Westhold Transponders and RACEceivers are required and the track is asking all teams competing to pit in a group on the west side of the main pit area. Southern Oklahoma Speedway starts new season with March 12-14 Stampede

ARDMORE, Okla. – IMCA Modifieds chase big checks and berths on the Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot each night of the season opening Southern Stampede March 12-14 at Southern Oklahoma Speedway. Modifieds run for $2,000 to win and $200 to start on Thursday, $1,000 to win and $100 to start on Friday and $3,000 to win and $300 to start on Saturday at Ardmore. KENNEDALE, Texas – The Texas Sprint Series season opens with the Tony Hernandez Memorial at Kennedale Speedway Park Saturday, March 7. Forty-two TSS teams have pre-entered to show their support for the Hernandez family and friends in attendance at the IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Car event. Hernandez was the TSS founder and passed away after his courageous battle with cancer on Jan. 31 and the series and teams will honor him during opening ceremonies. Arizona IMCA Dirt Track Tour primed for Feb. 6-15 run

IMCA Wild West Tour adds Arizona dates for Modifieds, Stock Cars, Northern SportMods

SOMERTON, Ariz. (Dec. 23) – The first green flag for the 10th annual IMCA Wild West Tour flies at Cocopah Speedway. IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars and Karl Kustoms Northern SportMods make their first-ever tour visit to Arizona on April 17-18. YUMA, Ariz. – IMCA Modifieds get top billing on both nights of Cocopah Speedway’s Wes Hurst Memorial, running for a top prize of $2,000 on Friday, Nov. 8 and for $3,000 on Saturday, Nov. 9.
