IMCA Late Models return to Marshalltown on Aug. 14, 21 

MARSHALLTOWN, Iowa (July 20) – IMCA Late Models make a long-awaited return to weekly race programs at Marshalltown Speedway for Friday, Aug. 14 and Aug. 21 shows. Both features pay $600 to win and a minimum of $100 to start. IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National and Allstar Performance State points will be awarded each night; there is no entry fee. The division last ran weekly at Marshalltown in 1990. “We’re pretty excited about it. We’ve got a lot of Late Model fans around here,” Promoter Toby Kruse said. “We’ve gotten a lot of interest from drivers so far.” The Late Models join Xtreme Motor Sports IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars, Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods, IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks and mod-lites on the card at Marshalltown. Little Mike’s Race to Win is Tuesday at 5MP 

KIRKWOOD, N.Y. – Xtreme Motor Sports IMCA Modifieds are Five Mile Point Speedway bound Tuesday night for the seventh annual Little Mike’s Race to Win. Held in memory of 2006 track champion Mike Stolarcyk III, the July 21 main event pays $1,000 to win and is a 2016 Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot qualifier. Racing starts at 7 p.m. and all Whitney Point residents will be admitted free to the grandstands with a photo ID. Dirt Wars 2.0 is this weekend at Idaho Falls 

IDAHO FALLS, Idaho – A pair of $1,000 to win features for Xtreme Motor Sports IMCA Modifieds are on the schedule for Idaho Falls Raceway’s Dirt Wars 2.0 special this Friday and Saturday, July 24 and 25. Both races are qualifying events for the 2016 Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot. IMCA SportMods race for $500 to win each night. All applicable points, including local track, will be given in both divisions. Wednesday show at Buena Vista Raceway next for IMCA Hawkeye Dirt Tour 

ALTA, Iowa (July 17) – Something has to give next Wednesday night at Buena Vista Raceway. Defending champion Mike Van Genderen and Kyle Brown are tied atop point standings coming into the sixth Xtreme Motor Sports IMCA Modified Hawkeye Dirt Tour event of the season. One of the two will have sole possession of the lead when the race is final. The July 22 feature pays $1,000 to win, a minimum of $150 to start and is a qualifier for the 2016 Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot. IMCA Hobby Stocks race for $1,000 to win Sunday at Raceway Park

JEFFERSON, S.D. – Motor Parts Central IMCA Hobby Stocks will race for $1,000 to win at the Jim Johnson Memorial this Sunday, July 19 at Raceway Park. Additional money has also been added for second through fifth place finishers in the draw/redraw event. The runner-up earns $200
, with $170 for third, $160 for fourth and 
$155 for fifth. In Johnson’s memory, Golden Auto Sales put up $100 to add to the Hobby Stock feature winner’s share of the purse and challenged anyone interested in donating money to the division. So far, Andy Gage, Bud Pash, Keith and Bill Miller, Craig Clift, Bonine Garage Doors and Dakotaland Auto Glass have contributed. Additional monies received will be added to payouts for second through fifth place finishers. Contributions can be dropped off at Golden Auto Sales, 1900 Floyd Boulevard in Sioux City, Iowa, or brought to the track on Sunday.

Third annual IMCA Modified Stampede is Saturday at Dodge City 

By Lonnie Wheatley DODGE CITY, Kan. – Xtreme Motor Sports IMCA Modifieds take center stage at Dodge City Raceway Park this Saturday night, July 18 with the third running of the track’s Modified Stampede. While the IMCA Modifieds will battle it out for a $1,200 winner’s share, other DCRP championship chase action will include IMCA SportMods, IMCA Stock Cars and IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks. Saturday’s action gets under way at 7:30 p.m. DCRP championship contenders will square off with a host of invading drivers for bragging rights and added money with the Stampede. David Murray Jr. topped the inaugural version of the event in 2013 with Brendon Gemmill taking the checkered flag last year. General admission is $15 with children 11 and under admitted free when accompanied by an adult. Dodge City Raceway Park is located on the south edge of Dodge City on US 283, then 0.9 mile west on US 56, then 0.1 mile south.

Hancock County Fair boasts potential $5K for IMCA Stock Car winner 

BRITT, Iowa – A check for as much as $5,000 goes home with the IMCA Sunoco Stock Car feature winner at the Hancock County Fair special on Friday, July 24. First place is worth a minimum of $4,000 with another $1,000 added if the first-place driver has perfect weekly attendance at Britt this season. The runner-up earns $2,000 with $1,000 for third. A minimum of $200 will be made to start the main event and tow money is $100. Twenty-four cars will qualify and the starting grid will be filled with two sponsor provisionals. All weekly divisions are on the program and a fireworks display follows the race program, which is sponsored by the Hancock County Fair, McNeese Tire and IWireless Communications. Dacotah Speedway hosts July 24, 25 Governor’s Cup special

MANDAN, N.D. – Three sanctioned divisions are on the race program for Dacotah Speedway’s 25th annual Gover­nor’s Cup special. Xtreme Motor Sports IMCA Modifieds race for $1,600 to win at Mandan on Friday and Saturday, July 24-25. Their feature is a 2016 Fast Shafts All-Star Invita­tional ballot qualifier. Sunset Speedway Park hosts Dancin’ Bare Topless 100

By Ben Deatherage BANKS, Ore. – Another marquee event for Sunset Speedway Park is coming up as the Banks Bullring continues to have one big race after the other.  Saturday, July 18 will be the annual Dancin’ Bare Topless Modified 100 at the 1/4-mile clay oval. This race will feature Xtreme Motor Sports IMCA Modifieds for a 100-lap feature with the winner collecting $1,000 and a berth on the ballot for the 2016 fast Shafts All-Star Invitational.
