Mills Survives Wild Modified Feature at Boone

By Jane Burd BOONE, Iowa (July 18, 2026) — The Karl Kustoms IMCA Modified feature on Saturday night at Boone Speedway was shaping up to be a showdown between Jesse Patterson and Jeremy Mills before the race took a dramatic turn. Patterson led the opening 11 laps until contact while battling for the lead left his car too damaged to continue. A multi-car incident eliminated nearly half the field and set up the race’s final stretch. Clear Lake’s Jeremy Mills, who started fifth, inherited the lead and held off Jake McBirnie to score his eighth victory of the season. Seven of those wins have come in the Razor Chassis North Central Region, including three at Boone Speedway. McBirnie finished second after starting eighth, while Todd Shute produced one of the night’s strongest charges, advancing 12 positions from 15th to third. Bakersfield Summer Spectacular Set for Saturday Night

(July 22, 2026) — Bakersfield Speedway at Kevin Harvick’s Kern Raceway returns to action on the dirt this Saturday night with the Summer Spectacular, featuring Karl Kustoms IMCA Modifieds, Karl Kustoms IMCA Northern SportMods, and Sunoco IMCA Stock Cars competing under Speedway Motors IMCA Weekly Racing sanction on the one-third-mile oval. Pit gates open at 3 p.m., with grandstands opening at 5:30 p.m. Opening ceremonies are scheduled for 7 p.m. Drivers making their first start of the 2026 season will receive one complimentary pit pass. Fans can save $2 by purchasing tickets in advance through the speedway’s website. General admission is $18 online or $20 at the gate. Tocci Rallies from Sixth to Win Hall of Fame Night Feature

(July 18, 2026) — Jordan Tocci raced from sixth to the front to score the Karl Kustoms IMCA Modified feature during Electric City Racing Hall of Fame Night at Electric City Speedway. The Three Forks driver steadily worked his way through the field before taking command and driving to his first victory of the season at the historic 3/8-mile oval. The win was also his fourth of 2026 in the DeVilbiss Racing Chassis Western Region. Points leader Ty Clemens put together an impressive charge of his own, advancing from ninth to finish second. Probst Charges From 10th for Arlington Hobby Stock Victory

(July 18, 2026) — By the time feature racing began Saturday night at Arlington Raceway, the track had slickened off through the middle while still allowing plenty of side-by-side racing. The Sunoco IMCA Hobby Stock feature showcased those conditions, with Dan Scharpe leading the opening lap before a thrilling three-wide battle over the closing laps saw Cory Probst charge from 10th starting to score the victory. On lap two, Taylor Manderfield spun entering turn four and collected Patrick Schauer to bring out the caution. Jordan Robinson grabbed the lead on the restart while Cory Probst and Austin Jahnz quickly joined the battle. Jahnz briefly led at the halfway point before Robinson regained the advantage the following lap. Jochim Breaks Through in Dacotah Stock Car Feature

(July 17, 2026) — Fresh off the Dakota Classic Modified Tour, Chris Tuchscherer and Brennor Grinstead led the field to the green flag in the Sunoco IMCA Stock Car feature at Dacotah Speedway. Tuchscherer and Grinstead battled fiercely for the lead, swapping positions several times while Andrew Jochim patiently lurked in third. Jochim made it a three-car fight on lap eight, throwing a series of sliders to wrestle away the top spot. Once out front, Jochim steadily pulled away as point leader Geoff Hellman worked past Grinstead for third and began chasing down Tuchscherer for the runner-up position. Harker Steals Modified Thriller on Final Corner at Eagle

(July 18, 2026) — Oppressive heat pushed the start of Saturday’s Duel in the Dirt at Eagle Raceway back one hour, but the wait proved worthwhile as Shawn Harker used a last-corner slider to win the Karl Kustoms IMCA Modified feature by just 0.04 seconds. Brandon Verbeek led the opening six laps before Nate Thompson moved past him for the top spot on lap seven. Adam Wasserman continued his march toward the front, taking third on lap 10 and then moving around Verbeek for second. Wasserman wrestled the lead away from Thompson with five laps remaining while 12th-starting Harker continued working forward. Their feature also produced one of the night’s best races, as Jesse Bodin jumped to an early lead and paced the opening 10 laps before Nathan Balensiefen took command on lap 11. Twelfth-starting Travis Denning methodically worked through the field, grabbing the lead with eight laps remaining and staying there to the checkered flag. (July 18, 2026) — Collen Winebarger etched his name further into Grays Harbor Raceway history Saturday night, winning the Modified Nationals to capture his fourth career victory in the prestigious event and tie Nick Trenchard for the most wins all-time. The Corbett, Oregon, driver piloted the Swan Island Sheet Metal No. 99X to the $7,500 victory in the 40-lap Karl Kustoms IMCA Modified feature, which served as a Fast Shafts All-Star Modified Invitational qualifier. (July 17, 2026) — The Close Racing Supply NY/Penn IMCA Modified Series returned to The Hill Speedway on Friday night for the Sixth Annual Billy Maynard Memorial presented by MR Dirt and Middendorf Contracting. A strong field of 22 Karl Kustoms IMCA Modifieds battled for one of the most prestigious victories on the 2026 schedule. The event paid $1,069 to win and served as a Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational qualifier. After an exciting night of MD Welding heat races, Dalton Maynard won the first, Brad Delamater captured the second, and Charlie Fulton took the third. When the cars hit the track for the 25-lap feature, Doug Stack Jr. drove the No. 41S to victory lane after holding off a hard-charging Tyler Belcher by 1.070 seconds. Probst Claims $1,000 Jess Weishaar Memorial Victory at Kossuth County

By Greg Grabianowski ALGONA, Iowa (July 16, 2026) — Cory Probst collected the biggest payday Thursday night by winning the annual Jess Weishaar Memorial for the Sunoco IMCA Hobby Stocks at Kossuth County Speedway Jade Lange and Chris Krug brought the 23-car Sunoco IMCA Hobby Stock field to the green, with Krug leading the opening lap. Trevor Iverson spun on lap three, Bryce Sommerfeld brought out another caution on lap six and Lange’s mechanical issues slowed the field again two laps later. On the ensuing restart, Probst charged to the lead and was out front at the halfway point ahead of Doug Wickman, Krug, Steve Wickman and point leader Brandon Nielsen.
