FRANCIS CREEK, Wis. (July 28) – Shawn Kilgore, Kelsy Hayes and Greg Gretz put on a thriller of a show during the final laps of the IMCA Modified feature Saturday at 141 Speedway before Kilgore picked up the win.
Gretz and Hayes dueled early, swapped the lead multiple times until Gretz gained control down low. Hayes was not be deterred and brought her ‘A’ game up top, tracking down Gretz and pulling even on lap 13.
The 12th starting Kilgore worked his way through the field to join the top duo and the final five laps saw numerous three-wide battles. Hayes used the top to grab just enough of a lead for Kilgore to clear Gretz. Kilgore pulled a slide job to perfection on Hayes and grabbed the lead with Hayes pulling a slide job of her own back on Kilgore.
Gretz stayed with them as the trio went three-wide at the white flag.Kilgore proved to be just tough enough on the final lap to secure the win over Gretz and Hayes. Russ Reinwald finished fourth with Josh Lambert fifth.
One hundred and forty-two cars competed in the car fights. Other winners included Kyle Frederick in the IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars, Cody Schroeder in the Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods and Shaun Bangart in the Mach-1 Sport Compacts.

FRANCIS CREEK, Wis. (July 18) – A less than favorable forecast for this weekend has resulted in rescheduling of 141 Speedway’s $5,000 to win King of the Creek IMCA Sunoco Stock Car special. King of the Creek moves to Tuesday, July 31-Thursday, Aug. 2. Practice is on opening night with Stock Car qualifying and Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMod and Mach-1 Sport Compact features on the docket for Wednesday. No track points will be given to SportMod and Sport Compact drivers. Thursday’s program features last-chance qualifying and the main event for Stock Cars, plus all other divisions running their regular formats. IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, regional, Wisconsin State and track points will be awarded. Both IMCA Modifieds and Stock Cars are on the Cowbell Street Stock Tour program Thursday, July 19 at Francis Creek. Modifieds race for $750 to win, Stocks for $500. (May 27, 2025) — One of Wisconsin’s richest and most prestigious dirt track events returns to 141 Speedway this June as the 17th annual Clash at the Creek, presented by Quietwoods RV, promises two nights of thrilling and a massive payday for the Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds. Set for Tuesday and Wednesday, June 10-11, with a Test and Tune session on Monday, June 9, the Clash will pay a whopping $10,000 to the Modified feature winner on Wednesday night. The format has been revamped for 2025 to create even more competitive racing and opportunities for drivers to reach the main event. Tuesday’s program will feature split qualifying features, each with a maximum of 24 cars. Lineups will be determined based on heat race finishes, with heat race lineups themselves set by draw.
