ANTIOCH, Calif. (Aug. 8, 2026) — Tyler Browne of Antioch captured his first career Karl Kustoms IMCA Modified feature victory Friday night at Antioch Speedway, adding his name to the list of 2026 DeVilbiss Racing Chassis Western Region winners.
Browne jumped into the lead at the start of the 20-lap main event with heat race winner Troy Foulger of Oakley and previous feature winner Andrew Pearce of Oakley in pursuit. Foulger applied constant pressure throughout the race, but Browne answered every challenge to maintain the top spot.
An inside pass on the frontstretch on lap 15 moved Pearce into second. Foulger headed to the pits moments later, allowing Pearce one final opportunity to challenge. Browne remained composed over the closing laps to secure the milestone victory. Doug Hagio of Prunedale finished third, followed by Carl Berendsen II of Antioch, and Foulger.
Ryland Doubles Up in SportMods and Stock Cars
Fred Ryland of Brentwood enjoyed another double-feature night, winning both the Karl Kustoms IMCA Northern SportMods and Sunoco IMCA Stock Car features. The victories strengthened his point leads in both divisions while moving him into a tie with Troy Foulger atop Antioch Speedway’s all-time feature win list with 91 career victories.
Ryland collected his fourth Northern SportMod victory of 2026 after taking command midway through the 20-lap feature.
Kelly Campanile led the opening lap before an early caution. Jeff Bentancourt grabbed the lead on lap three, while Trevor Clymens settled into second after an intense battle for position.
Another caution on lap six regrouped the field, allowing Ryland to move into second. He completed a low pass in turn four on lap 10 to take the lead and steadily pulled away for the victory.
Bentancourt finished second, followed by Al Johnson, Danny Wagner, and Tanner Thomas.
Ryland completed the sweep by leading all 20 laps of the Sunoco IMCA Stock Car feature for his third EQ Cylinder Heads Southern Region victory of the season.
Nick DeCarlo settled into second at the start with Justin Villanueva running third before Foulger worked his way into contention on lap four. Foulger later spun to bring out a caution on lap 17, setting up a late restart.
Ryland maintained control over the closing laps to secure the win ahead of DeCarlo and Villanueva. Scott Foster finished fourth, while Foulger recovered to complete the top five.
