IMCA Stock Cars chase $750 check Friday at US 36

OSBORN, Mo. – This Friday, July 26, is the third annual Joe Crist Memorial Stock Car Shootout at US 36 Raceway. IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars are racing for $1,262 to win and $125 to start. Heat races pay $62 to win among other bonuses. The weekend also provides an opportunity for Stock Car drivers to run two big money shows. The following night, Saturday, July 27, Bethany Speedway will complete the Stock Car weekend with a $1,262 to win race as well. The race pays $90 to start. Between the two tracks, there is over $2,500 on the line if a driver can sweep the weekend.  On Friday, July 26, at US 36, along with the Stock Cars, the IMCA Modifieds, IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Cars and Karl Kustoms Northern SportMods and E-Modifieds are also racing. (June 12) – A full night of competition greeted both competitors and fans Friday at U.S. 36 Raceway and a multi-groove race track provided for intense racing all night long. The IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Cars again saw two distinct grooves from the drivers up front. Kenny Pot­ter led early using the low line, while Jay Russell tried the high line. Further back, Monty Ferri­era ran the low line, with Tyler Drueke on the top. Once the race found a rhythm, so did Ferriera as he worked his way to the lead. Ferriera went on to win the race, with Russell second, Drueke third and Potter in fourth. Alex Salzman finished in the fifth spot.   Chad Clancy dominated the IMCA Modified feature in route to his first trip to Westfall GMC victory lane this season. OSBORN, Mo. – Three points nights remain on the 2020 schedule at US 36 Raceway and this Friday, Sept. 4 is one of the biggest of the season, as all divisions will see an increased payout.  IMCA Modifieds are racing for $1,000 to win and $100 to start their 2021 Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot qualifier. IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars have $500 to win and $100 to start on the line and Karl Kustoms Northern SportMods will battle for $400 to win and $70 to start.  All three divisions will run a draw/redraw format.  U.S. 36 Raceway is also working with Bethany Speedway to provide a bonus to any driver who can sweep the weekend.
