Boone County, Junction hosts next Sunoco bonus nights for IMCA Late Models

McCOOL JUNCTION, Neb. – IMCA Late Models and IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars will be new to Saturday night programs this season at Junction Motor Speedway. They’ll become the fifth and sixth divisions, respectively, sanctioned by IMCA at McCool Junction.  Promoter Delmar Friesen noted he’d gotten positive input from drivers in both divisions about the possibility of sanctioning. IMCA Late Models last ran weekly in Nebraska in 2004.  “It’s great to have them back. We need to keep this division economical and we need to give driv­ers a place to race,” he said. “There has to be a sanctioning body to make sure the rules are the same at every track and now there is one.”  Opening weekend at the 3/8-mile dirt oval is March 22 and 23 with the Mike Chapin Memorial Spring Thaw. ALBION, Neb. (July 5, 2022) – Another big payday is in the works for IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars at Boone County Raceway’s second annual Tanner Pelster Memorial.  The Sunday, July 10 main event for The Class Too Tough To Tame at Albion totes a $5,111 top check along with automatic qualifying for the B & B Racing Chassis All-Star Invitational. The runner-up earns $3,111 with $2,111 paid for third, $1,111 for fourth and $911 for fifth. A minimum of $211 will be paid to start the 24 car main event. McCOOL JUNCTION, Neb. – Junction Motor Speedway hosts the Barb Nunnenkamp Memorial McCool 100, with six IMCA divisions on the weekend card.  IMCA Sunoco Late Models run for $1,000 to win, IMCA Modifieds for $775 to win, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars for $675 to win, Karl Kustoms Northern SportMods for $525 to win and IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks for $500 to win Friday, Sept. 24 and Saturday, Sept. 25 at McCool Junction. Saturday’s Mach-1 Sport Compact feature pays $200 to win. IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, regional and KMJ Performance State points will be awarded both nights.
