OSBORN, Mo. (Aug. 26, 2022) – After a race that saw a little bit of everything, fans at US 36 Raceway saw rookie Greg Marrant in victory lane, celebrating his Friday night Mach-1 IMCA Sport Compact win.

The 4-cylinder feature saw speed, wheels flying off, smoke and action from green to checkers. Heat winner Jason Teel took the front and battled Brad Mick and Marrant as the three broke away from the field.

Teel continued to lead until his right front wheel came off on turn four, bringing his hopes of a win to an early end. Marrant and Mick made contact, bringing out the yellow and sending both drivers to the rear on the ensuing restart.

Payton Teel then took the lead only to see Marrant charge back by taking the lead and the win. Marrant celebrated in Nextran Victory Lane as Mick finished second and Teel third.

The IMCA RaceSaver Sprints Cars did not see the caution as Kenny Potter took the lead and never looked back, claiming his first win of 2022 at US 36 Raceway.

Potter was challenged by Jacob Dye early in the race but never relinquished the lead. Jay Russell was the big mover, coming from the back of the field to place second with Dye slipping to end the night third.

Steven Bowers Kr. Was the Friesen Performance IMCA Modified winner and Mike Nichols topped the IMCA Sunoco Stock Car main.

Winner of the Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMod feature was Tim Eaton and Dillon Raffurty paced the IMCA STARS Mod Lites.
