Championship Night this Friday at US 36 Raceway

OSBORN, Mo. – This Friday, Sept. 25, is championship night at US 36 Raceway. US 36 will crown the season champion in IMCA Modifieds, IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Cars, Karl Kustoms Northern SportMods and IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars.

As part of championship night, the IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Cars will race for $1,200 to win and a minimum of $250 to start. This is also the final opportunity for drivers and teams to race before the fall special at US 36, the second annual Missouri Nationals on Oct. 8-10.

Pit gates open at 4 p.m. The grandstands open at 6 p.m. with hot laps at 7:30 p.m. and racing at 8 p.m. Tickets are $20 for general admission, $18 for senior and military and children 12 and younger are free. Pit passes are $35.

Bowers dominates at inaugural Missouri IMCA Nationals

(Oct. 26) – A full pit area checked in for the first ever Missouri IMCA Nationals at US 36 Raceway.  The IMCA Modified main saw Jesse Dennis and Kyle Olberding battle for the lead early. Quickly though, Steven Bowers Jr. and Chad Clancy moved by and started battling for the lead. For the first half of the race, the two searched the track for a line and while doing so swapped the lead several times.  After halfway, Bowers found the right line and dominated the rest of the way, picking up the first-ever Missouri IMCA Nationals Modified win and the big trophy in Westfall GMC Victory Lane. The victory was good for $1,200; Bowers was already on the Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot. Clancy finished second while Shayne Bailey started 16th and drove through the field for a third-place finish. Misfit Challenge features this weekend at US 36, Eagle

By Rick Staley OSBORN, Mo. – US 36 Speedway at Osborn, Mo., and Eagle, Neb., Raceway are paying $700 to win and $350 to start their respective Friday, Aug. 3 and Saturday, Aug. 4 Misfit Challenge main events. The winner of the two-track point bonus will earn $300 cash, enjoy a sit-down meal with Thomas Weeks of the Discovery Channel’s Misfit Garage during the IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Nationals weekend and compete with a free wrap Sprint Nationals weekend with the Discovery Channel Misfit Garage Design. As an added bonus, all IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Car drivers racing at US 36 Raceway receive free Admission/pit pass. Also running Friday are IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars and Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods. Most is too much for IMCA Modified Blowout foes at US 36

(Aug. 2) – Every division had an increased payout on the line Friday at US 36 Raceway, but the IMCA Modifieds had the most to fight for with a $1,500 check going home with Josh Most, winner of the Modified Blowout presented by Lent Prints.  Clay Hale and Steven Bowers started the race from the front row for the 25-lap race, with Bowers taking the advantage into the opening corner. While Bowers paced the race early, Most began working his way from eighth starting. Most moved through the field by running alternate lines from the rest of the field. Most had moved to third before the yellow flew on lap seven. On the restart, Most advanced to second while Chad Clancy moved into the picture as he took third, after starting 11th. A few laps after the restart, Most and Bowers made contact in turn one. Most let Bowers collect himself before making another attempt at taking the lead away.
