Spring Nationals this weekend at US 36

By Jacob Blair OSBORN, Mo. (June 7) – With $1,000 on the line Friday night at US 36 Raceway, the IMCA Modifieds battled for 20 laps before the top check had a recipient. Chad Clancy led only the last lap but took home the big money and earned a berth on the Fast Shafts All-Star ballot with the victory. Cory Wray had to settle for second while Scott Brown came back from an early race incident to finish third. Clay Hale and Jim Masoner Jr. made up the rest of the top five. After several early cautions, Wray and Clancy settled into the top two spots. Both ran the bottom of the track. Clancy could roll the center of the corner better than everyone on the race track but couldn’t get the drive off to move to the inside of the leader. OSBORN, Mo. (July 25, 2022) – One of the biggest events in Show-Me State IMCA Sunoco Stock Car Racing comes to US 36 Raceway this Friday night, July 29 as the Joe Crist Memorial kicks off. The winner earns $2,262 and B & B Racing Chassis All-Star Invitational qualifying eligibility. Starting the main event is good for a minimum of $140. Both the hard charger and hard luck drivers pocket $162 with $262 paid for the longest haul, $62 to each heat race winner and $62 to the driver drawing the no. 62 chip. Pit gates open at 5 p.m. and the gates open at 6 p.m. Hot laps are at 7:30 p.m. and racing is at 8 p.m. Last year’s winner, Travis Barker from Sioux City, Iowa, will attempt to defend his title from 2021 but a lot off stiff competition will stand in his way. OSBORN, Mo. – The biggest IMCA Sunoco Stock Car race of the season at US 36 Raceway is this Friday, July 30. The Crist Family and US 36 Raceway present the fifth annual Joe Crist Memorial, which pays $2,062 to win and makes the winning driver eligible to qualify for the B & B Chassis All-Star Invitational. The main event pays a minimum of $125 to start and the longest haul is good for $162, with $62 paid for heat race wins, drawing the no. 62 chip, and hard luck award.  The Crist Memorial is draw/redraw and the $35 pre-registration fee covers the driver’s pit pass. Many prizes will be given away at the drivers, meeting and throughout the night.  Past winners of the event are Jason Estes in 2017, Blake Peeler in 2018, J.J. Baumli in 2019 and Steve Starmer in 2020.
