OSBORN, Mo. (June 12) – A full night of competition greeted both competitors and fans Friday at U.S. 36 Raceway and a multi-groove race track provided for intense racing all night long.

The IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Cars again saw two distinct grooves from the drivers up front. Kenny Pot­ter led early using the low line, while Jay Russell tried the high line. Further back, Monty Ferri­era ran the low line, with Tyler Drueke on the top.

Once the race found a rhythm, so did Ferriera as he worked his way to the lead. Ferriera went on to win the race, with Russell second, Drueke third and Potter in fourth. Alex Salzman finished in the fifth spot.  

Chad Clancy dominated the IMCA Modified feature in route to his first trip to Westfall GMC victory lane this season. Steve Starmer earned the IMCA Sunoco Stock Car win and Truman Asher held off Steven Clancy and Chris Wright in a Karl Kustoms Northern SportMod feature that ended green, white, checkered.

Up next at U.S. 36 Raceway on Friday, June 19 is the second attempt at running the Budweiser Shootout. The Sprint Series of Nebraska headlines the event. In addition, the IMCA Stock Cars will battle for $700 to win and $100 to start in the running of the Doyle Lance Remembrance Stock Car race.

Grossenbacher returns to US 36 to take $1,000 checkers at Budweiser Shootout 

OSBORN, Mo. (June 8) – It’s been a few years since he’s been to Osborn but Trevor Grossen­bacher showed he still knows how to get to the front at US 36 Raceway. Grossenbacher caught up with Tyler Drueke in traffic and made what proved to be the winning pass with four laps to go in Friday’s Budweiser Shootout feature for IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Cars. “The last time I ran here was five years ago,” said Grossenbacher, who earned $1,000 for the feature victory and another $200 for winning his heat race. “It’s a 2-1/2 hour trip for us but I’m sure we’ll go back. Masoner scores first IMCA Stock Car win

By Jacob Blair OSBORN, Mo. (July 10) – A strong field of race cars checked in to race at U.S. 36 Raceway on July 10. A mix of new and return winners in 2020 made for an entertaining night. With a dominating performance, Carson Masoner picked up his first career win in the IMCA Sunoco Stock Car feature. One week after letting one slip away late, Masoner drove away from the field to pick up the win and celebrate in victory lane. Brad Derry moved up to finish second after starting 10th.  The IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Cars saw a new face in victory lane as Kenny Potter earned his first win of the season. Early on, Potter and Tyler Drueke battled for the lead before Drueke broke and went pitside. Chris Couch finished second with Austin Couch in third. Snyder claims URSS victory at US 36

OSBORN, Mo. (July 23) – The sizzling summer heat was in full force on Friday at US 36 Raceway for the Drive to Zero United Rebel Sprint Series Presented by Mel Hambelton Ford Racing. Thirteen cars were in attendance for the second-ever United Rebel Sprint Series appearance at the 3/8-mile and it was Nebraska’s Stuart Snyder taking the top prize with a last-lap pass.  The 20-lap IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Car feature event saw Jay Russell and Snyder with front row starting positions. Russell took off with the early lead out of turns one and two, but Snyder challenged back by diamonding the apex in three and four. The red would fly over the field for Kevin Dye flipping in turn three over the cushion.  A complete restart again had Russell prevailing with the race lead, while Snyder bounced violently through turn one.
