Neisen aces Arlington IMCA SportMod feature

ARLINGTON, Minn. (May 21, 2022) – Great fans and great racers heated up the chilly temperatures Saturday at Arlington Raceway. There were several repeat feature winners but each event saw close, tight racing. Taylor Manderfield started in the front row of the IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stock feature and led four laps until hard-charging Cory Probst moved up from the last starting spot to take over the race. He had another clean sweep, winning his heat race and the feature. Melvin held on for second and Chad Volk moved up from his eighth place start to take third.  Justin Forcier started on the front row of the Mach-1 IMCA Sport Compact feature and, despite a yellow flag on the first lap, was able to lead the field around the track for six laps until 12th starting Nate Coopman moved to the front. Forcier lost his momentum and Coopman got around him to take over the race and the win. ARLINGTON, Minn. (May 20, 2023) – Last year’s track champions led the way to victory lane once again in almost all the feature events for the 43rd season opener at Arlington Raceway. There were 115 cars ready to compete in front of the stellar crowd.  Cory Probst started 11th and was in the first spot  by lap four in the IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stock feature. A yellow flag was thrown for his dad in the 175C on lap two which enabled Cory to get ahead after the restart. He went onto lead the rest of the race with Chad Volk taking second and Tayte Harazin taking third ahead of brother Payton Harazin. Nate Coopman had command of the Mach-1 IMCA Sport Compacts by the third time around the track  from his fifth place start. Alan Lahr started on the pole and managed to stick with Coopman and hold of Justin Dose, who took third. ARLINGTON, Minn. (Aug. 29) – Last-lap drama played out in the Saturday night feature Mach-1 Sport Compacts at Arlington Raceway. Matthew Spiess had taken the early lead and stayed in front until after the white flag was dis­played. R.J. Esqueda started 10th and worked his way up to second places with his sights on Spiess.  Esqueda made the late pass for the checkers. Justin Dose followed Esqueda and ended in se­cond.  Winner of the green-to-checkered IMCA Modified feature was Dan Menk while Justin Allen aced the IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Car headliner and Matt Speckman paced the IMCA Sunoco Stock Car feature.  Cory Probst raced from 11th starting to win the IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stock feature and Kris Zuhlsdorf made the most of back-to-back cautions early on to win the Karl Kustoms Northern SportMod main event.
