Carter continues hot streak at Stuart

By Josh Reynolds STUART, Iowa (July 1) –One hundred and forty-four race cars came to the 22nd annual Ron Little Memorial and Karl Kustoms Midwest Madness Tour program at Stuart Speedway.  Tim Ward and Todd Shute were out front for the IMCA Modifieds. Shute led early with Cayden Carter blowing by on the bottom side on lap six. A caution on lap 26 bunched the field and gave them a shot at Carter but it was not to be as The Gasman, already on the Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot, took the $2,000 win. Kyle Brown finished second with Ward third, Joel Rust fourth and Shute fifth.  Karl Kustoms Northern SportMods saw Bryan Morris and Garrett Nelson on the front row. Izac Mallicoat shot into the lead early Brayton Carter gapping the field to take the win by over a straightaway. MARSHALLTOWN, Iowa – Memorial Weekend Cornbelt Clash dates take IMCA STARS Mod Lites to Marshalltown Speedway, Boone Speedway and Stuart Speedway for $500 to win features each night. A minimum of $100 will be paid to start each May 28, 29 and 30 feature with a $30 entry fee each night.  Marshalltown opens the gates at 5:15 p.m. with racing at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Gates at Boone open at 3:30 p.m. and Saturday racing starts at 6 p.m. and on Sunday, gates at Stuart open at 5 p.m. and racing follows 7 p.m. hot laps.  The Yoshimura bonus will be paid on Sunday, with $250 going to the winner, $150 to the runner-up and $100 to the third place driver. The driver racing all three nights and finishing with the top point total also takes home $100 in cash. Other awards will be given by Hoosier Tire and Rod End Supply. By Josh Reynolds  STUART, Iowa (March 30) – The engines came to life Tuesday evening with drivers from all around in attendance for the IMCA Frostbuster opener at Stuart Speedway. Feature winners for the night were Cay­den Carter, Dallon Murty, Brayton Carter and Brandon Cox. Tony Hilgenberg and Jake McBirnie led a stacked IMCA Modified field to the green flag with Clay Money getting the jump from his fourth starting spot to lead lap one. Derrick Stewart slid into second on lap three as Money continued to lead. A couple yellows in the middle of the race tightened the field and set up a great run to the finish.
