Parker, Czarapata perfect at Outagamie

SEYMOUR, Wis. (Aug. 2) – Although Chase Parker led every lap of the IMCA Modified feature Friday at Outagamie Speedway, the race to the checkers wasn’t easy by any means. 

Defending track champion Marcus Yarie worked his way from row four to the runner-up position midway through the contest. With five circuits remaining, Yarie dove inside for the lead but lapped track halted his pursuit and Parker picked up his second win of the season.  

Travis Van Straten jumped out as the early leader in the IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars over Jer­emy Wiitala. The duo ran door-to-door for the top spot until Brandon Czarapata made it three-wide. 

Czarapata slipped by down low to take the lead on lap five. The battle for second became lively as Josh Mroczkowski and point leader Eric Arneson began to tussle with Van Straten. Mroczkow­ski secured the runner-up spot with five laps remaining. 

Although Mroczkowski closed in late it was Czarapta scoring his second feature win of the sea­son.

Rookie Ryan Schmidt secured the lead on lap eight and never looked back, cruising to his first career Karl Kustoms Northern SportMod feature win. 

Cody Booth outlasted a hard-charging Brian Johnson to score his first feature win of the season in the Mach-1 Sport Compacts.

Yarie, Arneson cash in at Outagamie Speedway

(June 21) – Mark Schuenemann paced the opening laps of the $1,000 to win IMCA Modified feature Friday at Outagamie Speedway before defending track champion Mar­cus Yarie came to call.  Yarie took the lead from Schuenemann and set sail, going unchallenged for his first local feature win of the season and pocketing the $1,000 payday.  Already on the Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot, Yarie won the green to checkered contest ahead of Schuenemann, Mike Mullen, Brian Mullen and Jerry Wilinski.   Former national champion Travis Van Straten raced to the lead on lap one of the IMCA Sunoco Stock Car headliner. After starting in row five, Eric Arneson worked to the runner-up position by lap five using the top groove.  Arneson set his sights on Van Straten, pulling even with him on lap eight. A lap later, Arneson took the lead and never looked back, earning his first feature win of the season.  Van Straten stayed close but had to settle for second, Chas Van Ooyen was third, Jeremy Chris­tians took fourth and point leader Josh Mroczkoski rounded out the top five. Rookie Czarneski races to first IMCA Modified win 

By Edward Anschutz SEYMOUR, Wis. (June 9, 2023) – Rookie Cole Czarneski raced to his career first Friesen Performance IMCA Modified feature win Friday at Outagamie Speedway. Czarneski rocketed from his front row starting spot, building a sizable advantage over Marcus Yarie. Midway through the contest Yarie began to close in as Czarneski worked through lapped traffic. With five laps to go, Yarie made his move down low as Czarneski was locked behind a lapped car. The pass was for naught however as the lone caution flew. Once in clean air on the restart, Czarneski pulled away for his first feature win in the IMCA Modifieds. Yarie raced with a lot of respect and took second, Wyatt Block was third and Benji LaCrosse rounded out the top five.   A $1,000 payday awaited the winner of the IMCA Sunoco Stock Car main event. Snellenberger is hot at Outagamie

By Edward Anschutz SEYMOUR, Wis. (June 18) – “Hot” Rod Snellenberger secured his first win of the season in the IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars Friday at Outagamie Speedway. Ronnie Otto paced the opening circuits until Aaron Stolp took over on lap three. Stolp was immediately dogged by Snellenberger. Snellenberger went to work, slipping by Stolp on lap nine. Snellenberger set sail, pulling away from the field for his first win of the season. Stolp had to settle for second, point leader Brandon Czarapata was third, Logan Leary took fourth and Brett Wenzel completed the top five. Jerry Wilinski took the top spot early in the IMCA Modified feature. Wilinski worked the low groove as Tyler Wilson began working through the field. Wilson used the top groove to reel in Wilinski and on lap nine took the lead away. Wilson pulled away to score the win and a clean sweep to boot.
