Christians captures 100th IMCA Stock Car win

SEYMOUR, Wis. (Aug. 14) – Horicon’s Jeremy Christians celebrated another milestone in the IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars with his 100th win Friday night at Outagamie Speedway powered by EWSC.

Tyler Wendt paced the opening circuits of the Stock Car feature. Wendt locked in up top as Chris­tians quickly worked his way to the runner-up position using the low groove and slipped by for the lead on lap four.

Christians put his Victory Chassis on the cushion and pulled away from the field. A caution with three to go set up a dash to the checkers but no one had anything for Christians as he went uncon­tested en route to his 100th IMCA feature win. Wendt had his best run of the season to place second, Andy Kleczka rallied late to place to take third.

“Fast” Eddie Muenster picked up his first IMCA Modified feature of the season. Muenster took the lead on the opening lap and never looked back, leading all 20 laps on his way to a clean sweep of the night. Kurt Moeller had his best race of the season to place second while Lu­cas Lamberies raced from row eight to place third.

Jayden Schmidt took the lead from Travis Rhoades with five laps remaining to score the win in the Karl Kustoms Northern SportMods. Rhoades had to settle for second and Brady Harshberger was third.

Jake Peters was victorious in the Mah-1 Sport Compacts.

Outagamie win goes to Long

SEYMOUR, Wis. (May 27) – Josh Long was the Sunday IMCA Modified feature winner at Out­agamie Speedway. Joey Taycher paced the opening laps with Long, Marcus Yarie and Mike Mullen giving chase. Long muscled his way down low past Taycher on lap eight for the top spot. Yarie closed in on Long, making the pass for the lead on lap 14. The caution flew simultaneously for debris and scoring went back to the last completed lap. Up against curfew the race was check­ered with Long receiving the win. Yarie had to settle for a frustrating second, Mullen was third, Lance Arneson placed fourth and Taycher completed the top five. Mroczkowski edges Van Straten for Outagamie checkers

(Aug. 21) – Josh Mroczkowski took the lead with five laps remaining and went on to win the IMCA Sunoco Stock Car feature by inches over Travis Van Straten at Outagamie Speedway Friday night. Tyler Wendt raced from the outside pole to the lead on the opening lap. Mroczkowski came to call just past the midway point to take the lead away from Wendt down low. The duo traded the lead over the next few laps with Mroczkowski racing back to the top spot on lap 15. Mroczkowski moved to the upper groove, which allowed Logan Leary and Van Straten to race three-wide under the leader. As the checkers flew it was a two-horse race of Van Straten and Mrocz­kowski racing to the finish line as the pair came across the stripe in a visual dead heat. Whitman captures checkers at Outagamie

(May 24) – Johnny Whitman led the last three laps before making his way to victory lane Friday night at Outagamie Speedway.  Brekken Kleinschmidt paced the opening laps of the IMCA Modified headliner until Mark Schuene­mann raced by on lap four. A series of cautions before midway kept the field bunched up. Tyler Wilson used this to his advantage, snagging the lead down low on lap 10.  Whitman worked through the field to the runner-up position after starting in row six. Wilson and Whitman worked the low groove until Wilson left the door open just enough to allow Whitman to sneak by for the lead.  Whitman led the remaining three laps while Wilson settled for second at the pay window.
