Outagamie win goes to Long

SEYMOUR, Wis. (May 27) – Josh Long was the Sunday IMCA Modified feature winner at Out­agamie Speedway.

Joey Taycher paced the opening laps with Long, Marcus Yarie and Mike Mullen giving chase. Long muscled his way down low past Taycher on lap eight for the top spot.

Yarie closed in on Long, making the pass for the lead on lap 14. The caution flew simultaneously for debris and scoring went back to the last completed lap. Up against curfew the race was check­ered with Long receiving the win. Yarie had to settle for a frustrating second, Mullen was third, Lance Arneson placed fourth and Taycher completed the top five.

Jeremy Christians raced from row two to the early lead of the IMCA Sunoco Stock Car feature. Travis Van Straten followed suit into the runner-up position and worked high and low on Chris­tians.

With four laps remaining, Van Straten dove low entering turn three, contact was made, sending Christians spinning. The caution flew and Van Straten was sent to the tail. Christians then held off a late-race charge from Larry Karcz Jr. to score his first win of the season.

In Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMod action, Lucas Lamberies took lead on lap 10 and never looked back in scoring a dominating win. Kyle Raddant brought home second, followed by Cody Schroeder.

Al Cottrell led every lap of the Mach-1Sport Compact en route to his first feature win.

A total of 148 cars packed the pit area for Memorial Weekend event.

Buckarma, Radtke are IMCA winners at Outagamie

By Scott J. Owen SEYMOUR, Wis. (June 30, 2023) – Nick Buckarma and Matthew Radtke secured their first IMCA wins of the season Friday at Outagamie Speedway. The IMCA Sunoco Stock Car feature was intense from start to finish, beginning with a four-wide battle for the lead. Darren Otto held the initial lead but his son Nathan took the lead on lap two. Josh Mroczkowski, Buckarma and Dan Sell Jr. soon joined the family feud for the lead. Darren Otto wrestled the lead back on lap four. Mroczkowski took his turn in the lead on lap five. It would be short-lived, however, as Darren Otto took the top spot back on the next circuit. Darren Otto, Buckarma and Mroczkowski went three-wide for the lead on lap 10 with Buckarma gaining the lead. Benji LaCrosse soon joined the leaders as well and moved to second on lap 14. Mike Mullen masters IMCA Modified main at Outagamie

By Edward Anschutz  SEYMOUR, Wis. (July 17) – Shawn Freilich jumped to the point of the IMCA Modified feature Fri­day at Outagamie Speedway. His reign up front didn’t last long as ‘Mighty’ Mike Mullen blasted to lead on lap four. Benji LaCrosse came to call midway through the contest as he worked into the runner-up posi­tion. LaCrosse closed in late but it was Mullen scoring the win. LaCrosse had to settle for second place pay, Josh Long took third, Marcus Yarie was fourth and Jerry Wilinski completed the top five. The contest went green to checkers. In Karl Kustoms Northern SportMod action, drama unfolded early as point leader Vince Engebregsten didn’t make the call for the starting lineup. Zachary Raab took the lead on lap four and never looked back, cruising to a dominating win. The win was Raab’s first-ever at the speedway. Cole Magnin, Tyler Sobiesczyk, Matt Radtke and Jeff Schmuhl rounded out the top five. Clint Malueg was victorious in the Mach-1 Sport Compacts.

Snellenberger is hot at Outagamie

By Edward Anschutz SEYMOUR, Wis. (June 18) – “Hot” Rod Snellenberger secured his first win of the season in the IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars Friday at Outagamie Speedway. Ronnie Otto paced the opening circuits until Aaron Stolp took over on lap three. Stolp was immediately dogged by Snellenberger. Snellenberger went to work, slipping by Stolp on lap nine. Snellenberger set sail, pulling away from the field for his first win of the season. Stolp had to settle for second, point leader Brandon Czarapata was third, Logan Leary took fourth and Brett Wenzel completed the top five. Jerry Wilinski took the top spot early in the IMCA Modified feature. Wilinski worked the low groove as Tyler Wilson began working through the field. Wilson used the top groove to reel in Wilinski and on lap nine took the lead away. Wilson pulled away to score the win and a clean sweep to boot. Wilinski finished in the runner-up position, Marcus Yarie had a strong third, Chase Parker was fourth and Konner Wilinski rounded out the top five. Kyle [Read More]
