SEYMOUR, Wis. (Aug. 26, 2022) – Seven hundred dollars awaited the winner in Friday’s Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMod feature at Outagamie Speedway and it was Jordan Jahnke jumping to the lead early on until Ryan Schmidt raced from row eight and to the lead on lap three.
Schmidt never looked back, scoring the payday with his third win of the season. Cory Kemkes stayed in the title fight with second place finish, Janke took third, Matthew Radtke took fourth and Chris Kuchta rounded out the top five.
It was heartbreak in the Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds as Jordan Bartz looked well on her way to victory lane until her racer began to run rough on lap 15. Bartz slowed and rolled to the infield, ending a bid for her first win of the season.
Hunter Parson inherited the top spot and held off hard-charging JJ Andersen to score his first win of the year. Andersen had to settle for second, Jason Ebert placed third, Jayden Schmidt was fourth and Benji LaCrosse completed the top five.
In IMCA Sunoco Stock Car action it was Eric Mahlik leaving no doubt who had the fastest car.
Mahlik took the lead on lap two and dominated the remainder of the event for his first win of the season. Title contender Brett Wenzel placed a solid second, Jonathon Young crossed the stripe to place third but his car didn’t pass post-race technical inspection. Eric Arneson was then credited with third, Chase Parker finished fourth and Kyle Frederick was fifth.
Bailey Tate held off a hard charging Jeremy Czarapata to score his first Mach-1 IMCA Sport Compact win of the season. Czarapata was second, rookie Kegan Van Ooyen placed third, Ben Schulte moved up 17 spots to take fourth and David Cox was fifth.
