SEYMOUR, Wis. (Aug. 19) – J.J. Andersen went into the Sunday night IMCA Modified event at Outagamie Speedway seeking a weekend sweep but Brian Mullen had other ideas.
The winner Friday at Luxemburg Speedway and Saturday at 141 Speedway, Anderson jumped to the early lead and appeared to be well on his way to completing the 3-for-3 weekend. Mullen raced from row four into the runner-up spot on lap five.
With Andersen and Mullen both running the top groove, it looked as if that’s how they would finish but a caution on lap eight changed everything. With Mullen restarting down low, Andersen switched to the bottom of the track and allowed Mullen the preferred line up top.
Mullen took the lead, going unchallenged the remainder of the event for the win. Andersen ended in second. Tyler Wilson, Johnny Whitman and Benji LaCrosse completed the top five.
Brandon Czarapata checked out in winning the caution-free IMCA Sunoco Stock Car feature while Jason Ebert was never challenged in racing to his second straight Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMod victory.
Cody Booth scored his first Mach-1 Sport Compact win of the season.
By Edward Anschutz SEYMOUR, Wis. (Aug. 14) – Horicon’s Jeremy Christians celebrated another milestone in the IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars with his 100th win Friday night at Outagamie Speedway powered by EWSC. Tyler Wendt paced the opening circuits of the Stock Car feature. Wendt locked in up top as Christians quickly worked his way to the runner-up position using the low groove and slipped by for the lead on lap four. Christians put his Victory Chassis on the cushion and pulled away from the field. A caution with three to go set up a dash to the checkers but no one had anything for Christians as he went uncontested en route to his 100th IMCA feature win. Wendt had his best run of the season to place second, Andy Kleczka rallied late to place to take third. “Fast” Eddie Muenster picked up his first IMCA Modified feature of the season. Muenster took the lead on the opening lap and never looked back, leading all 20 laps on his way to a clean sweep of the night. Kurt Moeller had [Read More]

Defending IMCA Sunoco Stock Car champion Eric Arneson paced the opening lap until former national champion Travis Van Straten took the top spot. Van Straten came roaring back as the duo traded the lead over the next several laps. With two laps remaining, Warner gained the edge he needed to score his first-ever IMCA Stock Car feature win. Van Straten had to settle for second, Brandon Czarapata was third, Arneson took fourth and Aaron Stolp completed the top five. Defending IMCA Modified track champion Johnny “The Hitman” Whitman drew the number pill for the feature and used that to [Read More]
By Joe Orsini SEYMOUR, Wis. (July 1, 2022) – The Fourth of July weekend kicked off with 180 cars filling the pits at Outagamie Speedway. Each of the drivers wanted to avoid fireworks on the track and enjoy them from victory lane after the races. The Friesen Performance IMCA Modified feature kicked off with Jason Hyerdall and then Dan Roedl in front. Wyatt Block wasted no time moving into position to challenge as he moved inside Hyerdall to secure second. Block continued to work the groove inside Roedl and fought side-by-side with the leader for multiple laps as Mike Mullen steadily worked the high side into fourth place. At halfway, Roedl led Block, Cody Schroeder, and Mike Mullen. A lap 12 restart saw Block slice past Roedl into the top spot and try to open a gap on the field. The closing laps saw Mullen put on a clinic on running the high side in turns one and two as he tickled the wall up top with every lap. When the checkers flew Mullen closed [Read More]
