Big payout for IMCA Modifieds at Ron Little Memorial

STUART, Iowa – IMCA Modifieds race for $1,500 to win and a spot on the Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot at Stuart Speedway’s 20th annual Ron Little Memorial.

Top check for the Modifieds is $700 while Mach-1 Sport Compacts run for $500 on Friday, Sept. 21. The big Modified show, plus a $700 to win feature for IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars and $500 to win features for IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks and Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods, are on the Saturday, Sept. 22 card.

IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, regional and Iowa State points will be awarded both nights and the event will be broadcast by IMCA.TV.

Pit gates will be open all day and the grandstand opens at 5 p.m. both days. Hot laps are at 7 p.m. with racing to follow.

Grandstand admission is $10 for adults, $5 for kids and free for six and under. Pit passes are $25 and there is no entry fee.

Stuart opens for 57th season

By Josh Reynolds STUART, Iowa (May 18) – The last couple circuits got interesting with lapped traffic, but Clint Luellen was able to hold on get the IMCA Modified feature win Friday, opening night for Stuart Speedway’s 57th season. Luellen passed Matthew Meinecke for the lead on the second lap. Josh Gilman finished second with Nick Roberts third, Meinecke fourth and Jeff James fifth. Marcus Fagan was the IMCA Sunoco Stock Car winner and Aaron Rudolph prevailed over a crowded field of IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks. Top honors in the Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMod main went to Austin Luellen and Curtis Mil­ler was promoted to the Mach-1 Sport Compact victory.

21st Ron Little Memorial Thursday at Stuart

STUART, Iowa – IMCA Modifieds chase a $2,055 top check and Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot berth at Stuart Speedway’s Thursday, July 2 Ron Little Memorial. The Modified feature pays $1,055 to the runner-up, $755 for third, $555 for fourth and a minimum of $205 to start. IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars race for a possible $1,905 to win, Karl Kustoms Northern SportMods for $1,000. Entry fee in those three divisions is $25.  IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks race for $550 to win, Mach-1 Sport Compacts for $200 to win.  Hot laps are at 6:45 p.m. for the draw/redraw show with racing to follow. Spectator admission is $15 for adults, $7 for students ages 11-16 and free for kids ages 10 and under. Three Memorial Weekend Cornbelt Clash dates for IMCA STARS Mod Lites

MARSHALLTOWN, Iowa – Memorial Weekend Cornbelt Clash dates take IMCA STARS Mod Lites to Marshalltown Speedway, Boone Speedway and Stuart Speedway for $500 to win features each night. A minimum of $100 will be paid to start each May 28, 29 and 30 feature with a $30 entry fee each night.  Marshalltown opens the gates at 5:15 p.m. with racing at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Gates at Boone open at 3:30 p.m. and Saturday racing starts at 6 p.m. and on Sunday, gates at Stuart open at 5 p.m. and racing follows 7 p.m. hot laps.  The Yoshimura bonus will be paid on Sunday, with $250 going to the winner, $150 to the runner-up and $100 to the third place driver. The driver racing all three nights and finishing with the top point total also takes home $100 in cash. Other awards will be given by Hoosier Tire and Rod End Supply.
