Booher bests Bethany foes for first win

(June 27) – With a new running order every time around the oval, Tim Stallbaumer was the leader of the 15th and final circuit of Saturday’s Karl Kustoms Northern SportMod feature at Bethany Speedway. Stallbaumer found his way to the front and never looked back as he picked up the win from the eighth starting spot. Tim Eaton held the lead for a few laps about mid-race and finished second. Steven Clancy and Chris Wright stayed in close contact the entire race and finished third and fourth, respectively.  The IMCA Sunoco Stock Car feature started with Mich Ross and Steve Starmer on the front row. From the drop of the green flag for about four laps they stayed side by side with Ross on bottom and Starmer on top. BETHANY, Mo. (Aug. 1) – Steven Bowers Jr. and J.J. Baumli both continued their winning ways at historic Bethany Speedway Saturday evening. Bowers has taken control of the IMCA Modified division locally as he chases the national championship, having won all but one feature at Bethany this year heading into the night. At the start, Mike Dotson took the point and battled Nicholas Carpenter while Bowers started 10th and was working through the pack, bringing Shayne Bailey with him. Out of turn two, Bowers and Carpenter split Dotson high and low and ran three wide all the way down the backstretch and into three. Bowers came out with the lead and went on to win with Carpenter in second and Dotson third. Carson Masoner led early in the IMCA Sunoco Stock Car main, then Blake Peeler took the lead and tried to get away from everybody. By Rick Staley BETHANY, Mo. (April 6) – Chase Rudolf has a Karl Kustoms Northern SportMod feature win to  show for his first-ever visit to Bethany Speedway. R.J. Dishong used a front row starting position to take the lead and appear to be set for the Satur­day win until a caution bunched the field back up. On the mid-race restart, Rudolf made a daring move on the high side of turn two to take the lead from Dishong.  Rudolf gradually pulled away from the pack and captured the win. Jeffrey Sears moved to the inside of the track and claimed second with Randy Smith Jr. a solid third. Defending champion Josh Munsen was fourth and Colton Nelson battled back from an early race mishap to place fifth. Mike Nichols set a blistering pace and cruised to his second IMCA Sunoco Stock Car Missouri  victory of the weekend.
