Deery Series, XSAN Hawkeye Dirt Tour headline Farley’s Dirt Track Classic
FARLEY, Iowa (Sept. 9) – Drivers in one IMCA special series contend for their biggest payday of the season while another tour comes to a conclusion this weekend during the 37th annual Yankee Dirt Track Classic at Farley Speedway. IMCA Late Models on the Deery Brothers Summer Series circuit race for $3,000 to win and a minimum of $300 to start on Friday, Sept. 12. The stakes are much higher for the Saturday, Sept. 13 tour event, a 100-lapper that pays a hefty $7,500 to win and a minimum of $500 to start. Winners of Deery features at last year’s Yankee were Chad Simpson and Joel Callahan. Justin Kay is a four-time winner this season and continues to lead the current point race. Mike Van Genderen is one of the nine different drivers to have won an XSAN Hawkeye Dirt Tour feature in as many events held so far in the IMCA Xtreme Motor Sports Modified series.
