Deery Series, XSAN Hawkeye Dirt Tour headline Farley’s Dirt Track Classic

FARLEY, Iowa (Sept. 9) – Drivers in one IMCA special series contend for their biggest payday of the season while another tour comes to a conclusion this weekend during the 37th annual Yankee Dirt Track Classic at Farley Speedway. IMCA Late Models on the Deery Brothers Summer Series circuit race for $3,000 to win and a minimum of $300 to start on Friday, Sept. 12. The stakes are much higher for the Saturday, Sept. 13 tour event, a 100-lapper that pays a hefty $7,500 to win and a minimum of $500 to start. Winners of Deery features at last year’s Yankee were Chad Simpson and Joel Callahan. Justin Kay is a four-time winner this season and continues to lead the current point race. Werkmeister is first, last at Super Nationals XXXII BOONE, Iowa (Sept. 6) – Regardless of how tonight’s main event action plays out, Casey Werkmeister will go home to North Platte, Neb., with a pair of IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s distinctions. Late arrival Werkmeister, Temeyer top Stock Car qualifiers BOONE, Iowa (Sept. 5) – He got to town late but Casey Werkmeister joined Justin Temeyer as a Stock Car qualifying feature winner at the IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s on Friday night. A high school football coach, Werkmeister was on the sidelines when his team won on Thursday, drove part of the way to Boone after the game and completed the trip the next morning. He promptly won his heat, started third in the opening qualifier and sped to the win ahead of Rick Mahlberg, Michael Jaennette and Stefan Sybesma. Temeyer made his way to the front after starting 10th in the nightcap. John Heinz, Jake Masters and 13th starting Scott Pippert were next across the stripe. Strickler races with his idols and wins Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational

BOONE, Iowa (Sept. 5) – Kyle Strickler enjoyed the privilege of racing with a lot of his idols as much as he did winning Friday’s Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational at Boone Speedway. Strickler led the last 23 circuits in the 30-lap Modified feature, on night five of the IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s. He earned $1,230 – including lap money – for the victory, which came almost half a straightaway ahead of defending race winner Todd Shute. “This is such a big event. Winning this race ranks right up there,” he said. “When you look at the names of the drivers that were in it, a lot of them are my idols. Race of Champions qualifying for Modifieds, Stocks today at Super Nationals BOONE, Iowa (Sept. 4) – Race of champions heats for Modifieds and Stock Cars and plenty of qualifying races for both divisions are on the Thursday schedule at the IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s. The first of five Sunoco Race Fuels RoC heats for the Stock Cars is on the track now at Boone Speedway. Twenty Stock Car heats precede half a dozen Harris Auto Racing Race of Champions heats for the Modifieds. Ten Modified heats come next, with a pair of 25-lap qualifying features for the Stocks to follow. Another 20 Modified heats lead up to two more qualifiers, also 25 laps in distance.
