WEST LIBERTY, Iowa (June 13) – Justin Kay’s first trip to victory lane Tuesday night at West Liberty Raceway put $1,000 in his pocket. His second put him in the record book. Already of the winner of the Arnold Motor Supply Hawkeye Dirt Tour for IMCA Modifieds, Kay became the first driver to win Dirt Tour and Deery Brothers Summer Series main events on the same night when he followed with a convincing run to the $2,000 IMCA Late Model tour checkers. “Winning both races is always the goal. Kay starts history-making night with win in Arnold Motor Supply Hawkeye Dirt Tour

WEST LIBERTY, Iowa (June 13) – A driver best known for his IMCA Late Model prowess continued his run of success in a sanctioned Modified Tuesday night. Justin Kay held off challenges from Cayden Carter and Joel Rust in winning the Arnold Motor Supply Hawkeye Dirt Tour main event at West Liberty Raceway. The victory paid $1,000 and came just before he completed the unique sweep by winning the Deery Brothers Summer Series Late Model nightcap. Carter, another two-division star, finished as the runner-up while Rust was third. NORTH PLATTE, Neb. – Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods race for $2,000 to win while IMCA Modifieds chase a top check of $1,000 at Lincoln County Raceway’s Tuesday, June 20 Marcie Schultz Memorial special. The Modified feature is a Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot qualifier. IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars race for $1,000 to win, IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks for $500 to win. IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, regional, Allstar Performance State and local track points will be awarded. Pit gates open at 4 p.m. Hot laps are at 5:30 p.m. and racing starts at 6:30 p.m. Grandstand admission is $15 for adults, $5 for kids ages 6-12 and free for five and under. LaCrosse follows top side to victory lane

(June 11) – Benji LaCrosse worked his magic on the top side to pass Brian Mullen with five laps remaining to score Sunday night IMCA Modified win at Outagamie Speedway. Jay Matthias paced the first nine laps before Mullen slid by for the top spot. Mullen continued to work the low groove as LaCrosse sliced his way through the field. LaCrosse set his machine on the top groove, closing in on Mullen. With five laps left, LaCrosse made the pass for the lead. Mullen kept the pressure on the rest of the way but it was LaCrosse taking top dollar at the pay window. Mullen was second and Matthias came home third. Other feature winners were Jeremy Christians in the IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars, Kevin Bethke in the Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods and Brian Johnson in the Mach-1 Sport Compacts.

IMCA Wild West Modified Shootout set for June 23-July 1 campaign

Eight races will be conducted in nine nights at some of the best five race tracks in the country. Chasing Jackson across the line for the second straight week was Tyler Thompson followed by Brody Spreng and Seth Bodlak. In the Total Motors IMCA Modified feature, Jason Schneiders took his second win in the last three weeks in a caution-free event. Travis Barker took his second straight win in the Casey’s General Store IMCA Stock Car division in dominating fashion. Funeral services pending for racing legend Arlo Becker

NORWAY, Iowa – IMCA and the rest of the automotive racing world are in mourning following the passing of a legend. Arlo Becker, the first-ever IMCA Modified track champion died Monday, June 12 of injuries sustained when a tractor he was driving overturned in rural Benton County. Becker, 79, had raced for more than half a century at tracks across Iowa and the Midwest. Champion at Vinton Speedway in 1979, the first year for the IMCA Modified, Becker qualified for the Super Nationals main event in 1993. He won his 51st and final sanctioned feature in the class in 2005. Becker continued to be a mainstay in the sport, promoting demolition events and attending local races and reunions. “There are so many Arlo stories. ALGONA, Iowa – IMCA Modifieds race for $2,000 to win their Dash at the Harris Clash qualifying main event this Thursday, June 15 at Kossuth County Speedway. Dominator Race Products continues awards program for five IMCA divisions, Deery Series

LYONS, Ohio – Drivers in three IMCA divisions chase different awards this season given by Dominator Race Products. The Lyons, Ohio, manufacturer gives a rocker panel kit and valance to ninth and 10th place finishers in point standings for each of the five IMCA Modified regions, and in national point standings for Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods and Scoggin-Dickey Parts Center Southern SportMods. Nosepiece kits again go to 11th through 20th place finishers in the Deery Brothers Summer Series for IMCA Late Models, and to 11th and 12th place finishers in both IMCA Sunoco Stock Car regions and both IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stock regions. AUBURN, Mich. – The green flag flies this Friday night for Tri-City Motor Speedway’s seventh annual Greased Pig special. IMCA Modifieds race for $1,077 to win and a minimum of $150 to start their June 16 Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot qualifier, sponsored by Allstar Performance. The main event will be 41 laps. IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, Dirt Works Eastern Region, Allstar Performance State and local track points will be awarded. There is no entry fee.
