Kay doubles up at Farley

FARLEY, Iowa (Aug. 11) – Justin Kay took his opponents to school twice on Back to School Night Fri­day at Farley Speedway.

The headliner was the 25-lap Out-Pace Racing Products IMCA Late Model feature. Kay chased down leader Rick Wendling and made the winning move just past the 15 lap mark. Kay went on to take the checkers ahead of Wendling and Doug Nigh.

In the GSI Collision Specialists IMCA Modified feature, Kay raced from the back of the field and took the lead from Ben Carpenter with about five laps to go. Carpenter had a great run on Friday night taking second ahead of Joel Callahan.

The GSI Collision Specialists IMCA Northern SportMod feature saw a first-time winner in 2017. Nic Coates led the feature flag to flag in scoring a very impressive win over Troy Bauer and Tyler Soppe.

Phil Holtz scored the Bakey Seamless Gutters IMCA Stock Car win.
