IMCA Central Iowa Stock Car Showdown set for May 9 at Hamilton County

WEBSTER CITY, Iowa – IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars race for $2,000 to win, IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks for $1,000 to win at Hamilton County Speedway’s Tuesday, May 9 Central Iowa Stock Car Showdown. IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, regional and Allstar Performance State points will be awarded in both divisions. Pit gates at Webster City open at 4 p.m. and the grandstand opens at 5 p.m. Hot laps are at 6:30 p.m. with racing to follow. Grandstand admission is $17 for adults, $10 for kids ages 6-15 and free for five and under. Pit passes are $30. Bilstein renews IMCA awards program for 19th season

POWAY, Calif. – IMCA drivers in five divisions benefit from Bilstein Shocks sponsorship for a 19th consecutive season. Radivoy races to CRSA checkers at Orange County

(April 29) – The Super Gen Products and Champion Power Equipment-sponsored CRSA Sprint Tour made its first of five stops on the schedule at Orange County Fair Speedway on Saturday, which was also the first of five races on the Hard Clay Challenge Series. Thomas Radivoy, a native of Circleville, took his no. 1Q IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Car to victory lane leading all 20 laps of the green to checkered flag main event. Radivoy made the redraw through a third-place finish in his heat race and pulled the outside pole. Emily VanInwegen earned the runner-up spot after she came away from the redraw with the pole. Sprint Series of Oklahoma set for Friday show at Red Dirt Raceway

By David Smith Jr. MEEKER, Okla. – The Sprint Series of Oklahoma IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Car Series presented by Smiley’s Racing Products will be back in action Friday, May 5 as the tour makes the first of two appearances of the season at Red Dirt Raceway in Meeker. This event will be race three on the 2017 SSO schedule with Joe Wood Jr. of Oklahoma City picking up the victory this past Friday night in Wichita Falls, Texas, while Texan Chad Koch picked up the season-opening victory at Southern Oklahoma Speedway in late March. The SSO visited the quarter-mile red-clay oval in Meeker last year with Jake Martens and Andy Shouse picking up victories. Sunset Speedway Park opens Saturday with Ladies’ Night

The first round of IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing action will be Lime-A-Rita Ladies’ Night where all ladies 18 years or older get into the races for $5. “The weather hasn’t been the kindest to us this year,” commented Nikki Gamell, Sunset manager. “We’re very excited to finally get some racing in. (April 30) – Rick Stief scored his second career Racesaver 305 Sprint Car victory in the first-ever Mid-Atlantic Sprint Series event Sunday at Bridgeport Speedway. Stief started fourth and took the lead on lap 14 after early race leader Ryan Stillwaggon’s engine expired while maintaining over a straightaway gap on Stief and the rest of the field.
