77 IMCA Stock Car drivers eligible to qualify for inaugural B & B Chassis All-Star Invitational

BOONE, Iowa – Cameron Wilkinson is the latest addition to the list of IMCA Sunoco Stock Car drivers eligible to qualify for the B & B Chassis All-Star Invitational field. Wilkinson won Sunday’s Thayer County Fair special. Time trial qualifying is Sept. 8 with the inaugural invitational to be held Thursday, Sept. 9 during the IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s at Boone Speedway. Drivers winning sanctioned events paying $750 or more held through the first weekend of September become eligible to qualify. Nominations sought for honorary starters on Sept. 11

BOONE, Iowa – The three honorary starters for Sept. 11 Modified last-chance races during the IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s will be chosen to represent the many American heroes who put their own lives on the line. Wild West Shootout checkers fly for Williamson in round 5

By Ben Deatherage COTTAGE GROVE, Ore. (Aug. 10) – The quarter-mile clay oval at Cottage Grove Speedway continued to be good to Jesse Williamson Tuesday night. Williamson sped to his second $1,000 win in five Wild West IMCA Modified Shootout starts. The four-time series champion now owns 14 career tour victories, with five coming a CGS. Jake Mayden was the early leader in the 40-lap main event and held onto the position until being overtaken on lap nine. Williamson prevailed despite multiple yellow flags. Collen Winebarger ended the race second with third going to Eston Whisler. Veteran Paul Rea was scored fourth with fifth going to Mayden. Sheridan Speedway hosts Aug. 13-15 I-90 Challenge for IMCA Modifieds

SHERIDAN, Wy. – IMCA Modifieds are in action each night of Sheridan’s Speedway’s Aug. 13, 14 and 15 I-90 Challenge. The Friday night feature pays $450 to win, with $800 paid to win on Saturday and $900 to win on Sunday. All three programs will be draw/redraw. IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, Shaw Race Cars Western, KMJ Performance State and track points awarded each night. Entry fee is $40 on Friday, $75 on Saturday and $100 on Sunday or $215 for all three nights. The pit gate opens at 4 p.m. Friday and at 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. $250 Sunoco bonus Friday night in Davenport

VINTON, Iowa – Extra money is on the line for the potential winner of the main event for IMCA Sunoco Late Models this Friday at Davenport. The next installment of the $250 Sunoco Race Fuels bonus will be paid to the August 13 Late Model winner at Davenport Speedway. Sunoco bonuses will be presented at IMCA Late Model sanctioned tracks in 2021. Drivers are eligible for one bonus during the racing season. OBERLIN, Kan. – The Bob Salem Memorial is on tap for the Drive to Zero POWRi United Rebel Sprint Series Presented by Mel Hambelton Ford Racing. The event is held dear to series promoter Rick Salem, as a race honoring his late father. Hobscheidt has just enough in the tank, takes $5,000 Iron Cup IMCA Modified checkers

JEFFERSON, S.D. (Aug. 10) – All of eight tenths of a second made the difference in Monday night’s Iron Cup main event for IMCA Modifieds at Park Jefferson Speedway. Jacob Hobscheidt led the entire 35-lap feature but had to hold off a hard running Shane DeMey in the closing laps to pick up the $5,000 win by a fraction of a second. “I raced there a handful of times but never had any luck,” Hobscheidt said after matching his career-best payday. “The last four or five laps I was running out of fuel and doing whatever I could to keep the thing running.” Hobscheidt got the early jump on the field over fellow front row starter Bob Moore and cruised early.
